I just want to ask you your opinions about the area of effect of the spell "Antilife Shell", in case your are larger than the medium size.
The spell description goes like this:
A shimmering barrier extends out from you in a 10- foot radius and moves with you, remaining centered on you and hedging out creatures other than undead and constructs. The barrier lasts for the duration.
If you are medium size, it's all right no problem. But what if you are Large size or large? How do you define the area of effect?
My guess: a sphere of radius just 5 feet larger than your actual size.
Good conundrum! Darn good as the spell text does not reference size at all.
As a DM, I'd go with your guess. At least 5' larger than the caster's actual size. Punishing a creature that's Large+ by saying the spell falls entirely inside their body/space is... boring and a fun-sucker. Especially if it's happening to a character.
Unless someone has a Sage Advice answer this would be arbitrary but I like your answer and would not balk if I were in your game and you ruled it that way.
There's actually nothing in the spell that would indicate that it wouldn't still be a 10' radius from you, even if you're Large or bigger. As written, it would still be a 10' radius extending out from you, no matter your size.

The spell says: A shimmering barrier extends out from you in a 10- foot radius and moves with you, remaining centered on you...
So if I take this words literally: the point of origin it is me, it extends like a sphere of radius 10 feet. Therefore, if I am larger than this sphere, the sphere itself never goes out of me.
Don't get me wrong, I dont want to be nitpick, I was just wondering how to interpretate correctly in "larger" cases...

I agree, this language is unclear..."extends from you" doesn't necessarily imply that there is a specific point of origin at the exact center of your body. This wording, to me at least, makes it sound like your body is the point of origin, therefore, from the edge of you, it extends like a sphere for 10' on all sides. But it's definitely ambiguious.
