Basically what the title said, I know for updates you can just uplod a new one and it auto replaces the old file. So that probably means this is not an update so what do people think this means?
Well if it was removed by WotC and not the person who originally put it up there then I would say there is a good possibility of seeing an official version of the Artificer sooner rather than later. Has other Eberron tangent stuff been removed like Warforged/Shifters/Changelings?

For clarification. WotC put up both the UA Artificer and UA Mystic for further playtesting where they would upload more recent changes as they happen. The Mystic is still up, however the Artificer has been removed. These are the only UA material WotC put up on the DMs Guild.

There alot of problems with the Artificers, biggest complaint is it is a 1/3 caster. My guess they are going to rework it, since it removal was quiet. The alchemist main attack powers is all or nothing. and the gunman is loading a gun, and not much else for flavor.

The same thing can be said of non-dual-wielding rogues (and, before 5th level, fighters, paladins, rangers, and non-Berserker barbarians) and quite a few spells.

Also updating a doc would not normally be a reason to take it down. The way the DMs Guild works is you can upload a doc to replace the previous one alerting users that the document has been updated. So if WotC were to update it why take it down when you can just reupload a new version.

The artificer class is one of the most played class and yet the most bashed in class, playing one myself i was surprised to not see it there anymore. that said...
It's the most bashed in class because people like the way it started, but dislikes most of whats in it, the DMsGuild version made it pretty clear that this class is very vry very flawed and that nobody even if they try actually likes it. i've been playing my artificer gunsmith in a pirate campaign for like 2 months now and i can tell you... looking at the higher levels, i dont even want to go higher then level 6. what'S the fun of a class that do not even want to go higher then level 6 out of 20 ? feels to me like the rogue where you can just stop at level 11 with reliable talent and the rest fo the class is just meh.
i'll go even higher then and literally say that having access to all the crafting tools is useless, mostly because the wizards and druids of the game we're in can pretty much all do the same shit as i do, faster then me and at instant speed thanks to spells. Infusions are awesome, but taking a minute to do them is ridiculous, that means i have to plan ahead of time and with other players that'S not even possible cause most of the time it only last 1 hour and the infusion wont even be used.
overall... as i play the character which i love... it has those very big missconception... - infusion barely ever used because takes way too long to plan out and create. - Not much spell choice and not much spell slots. - only cantrip is mending which pretty much everyone else has. - identify and detect magic as rituals... yeah wizards do this too. - Magic items are cool, but lacks many choices which makes this not much needed... - Magic items takes a ton to get, so yeah superior attunement is useless.
the most stupid thing though, is that both archetype are combat oriented mostly... so aside from being a huge damage dealer, this class has nothing really useful. i literally stopped and multiclassed into ranger at level 7. because everything else seemed not to add anything to my character.

They do not respond about it. i've been bugging them both for a while and they just dont respond to it. Leaving even more truth to the fact that it may become a real thing in the next few months.
Me guessing that maybe Eberron is the next story that is coming.

I just clicked the link now that I have some downtime on Christmas, and my son just started playing an artificer, and "there it is", right where you left it!
I already purchased (free) so I'm going to download again and see if it's been updated!
It does appear to be back. I wondering if was an error for a while or if it just was removed cause someone jumped the gun cause we know we should see somthing more like an official release for it in 2018.
