Axis is tearing into a steak, his goblin children eating little corn muffins. The werewolf is decked out in bone jewelry that clashes with his stark black fur.
Jax, swimming for fish to eat, runs snout-long into Amphitrite and shoots backwards, panicked
Amphitrite's large black eyes narrow as she is bumped into. Her tails flick back and forth under the water, displeased "Watch where you are going."
He rubs his snout with his paws "Sorry, the water's not my natural habitat, plus, you looked like dinner."
She snorts "No, I'm not dinner." She said and tilted her head. She waves a hand and water swirls around them into a whirlpool. Fish, hundreds of them, glittering, suddenly are caught in it. She gestures to it "There."
"Well, n-no, from here' you're too pretty to be dinner.. uhm, oh thanks." She says sheepishly as he grabs a couple of fish
She laughs "I'm not pretty when I'm angry so careful not to do that again." She said, shifting into a serpent creature with pearly white scales "or perhaps next time I'll eat you alive."
His blue eyes are fascinated with her shapeshifting properties. In his daze, he clenches the fish too hard, his claws digging right into them "Uh.. agree to disagree?" The arctic fox says with a modest blush on his face
She smirks shifting back, summoning her compass. "Use this to get back to land. You shouldn't be in the water." She said, handing it to them.
"Aww man, I don't wanna go to bed, 5 more minutes?" He says in a mock tone, smirking back
"There are things out here that eat tasty morsels like you. If you don't want a leg or tail missing, you might want to swim for shore." She said, giving two finger salute.
"Alright... but I'm coming back to see you... My name is Jax.. Jax Finnigan.. some p-people call me Finn."
"Hmm, alrighty Finny." She said, raising a brow.
He waves to her as he leaves, fish in paws. She finds a scrap of his tunic in her hand after he leaves.
She smirks, grabbing her locker and placing it in there. As Finn leaves, he feels as if eyes are on him constantly.
Paranoia consumes him, and he figures going back to Amphitrite is safer than attempting the rest of the way to shore
