Question of the Day: Anyone dressing up for Halloween this year?
I haven't dressed up for halloween except for three times in the last 20 years. It used to be my second favorite holiday, and is now still very enjoyed, but a life change ruined it pretty much wholly for me. In a way that is really peculiar, not tragic.
I still enjoy other people doing so, though -- probably more than ever before. It is, in many ways, public permission to cosplay, after all.
And I think your choice is awesome, though the ears bit is kinda gruesome.

So, that wasn't a particularly wise use of my time.
QotD: What Adventures would you like to see made into TV shows?
I would love to see a version of Expedition to the Barrier Peaks.
Some ideas:
Keys to the Golden Vault would make for sick TV shows because they're about pretty episodic one-shot heists. That would be fun to watch.
Candlekeep Mysteries is all over the place but mysteries in general are neat. Mysteries & Monsters (that was probably an RPG title at some point) would be neater.
The Domains of Dread in Von Zarovich's Guide to Ravenloft are not adventures. However, they could make a phenomenal horror TV show. because each Domain of Dread has incredible lore though, the process to uncovering a domain's secrets might feel unnaturally short if the intent was to cram one Domain of Dread into a relatively short season. But still, I think Ravenloft could be could be used to tell some superb, adaptable tales.

A Star Wars Visions style show with each episode in a different domain would be pretty cool.

In the Autumn Country, days end quickly, the gloaming hours linger, and the midnights pile one upon the other till the air is thick and flows like twilight syrup.

That would be neat. But I would honestly prefer more than an episode on each domain because some of these realms have horrifying mysteries or secrets that are meant to take a bit of time to discover.

I feel like one longer episode per domain could work. I'd imagine something like the Twilight Zone. You don't need to have a grand adventure exploring the details of each realm. Just one good story in each, maybe focusing on the tragedies of the dark lords.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Definitely longer than any of the Visions stuff but standalone episodes would be cool.

But it's nice to have in case I want to run a 5e Star Frontiers campaign.
I'm thinking of introducing a homebrew that takes advantage of them for vehicles.

Sigh. So I will say it's disappointing, yet again, to have no value associated to magic items.... so that if a player wants to sell or, because it happens all the time, perhaps buy one from an effing merchant, that there's no effing price listed, or basis/formula for selling magic items. That's something AD&D/2nd Edition got right, and 5th keeps dropping the #@!#ing ball on.
I sit corrected! AEDorsay pointed out the section I somehow overlooked.

That would definitely work. I personally would prefer a season in each Domain but I bet most people would love the idea of having each episode occur in a different Domain of Dread. I think it's really just a personal preference thing.

I have weapon mounts on vehicles, and I need something more wild for my space stuff, so I was thinking of making “heavy” versions for mounted weapons.

I hadn’t really thought of weapon mounts on vehicles but given that I have repeating crossbows I can see mounting a couple of heavy repeating crossbows on a caravan wagon or 3 as a nice step rise when “repelling borders”. Thanks for the ideas.

Yeah. It would be nice if the Spelljammer books had more crunch for us to use here. The best we have, IMO, are the weapons from the infernal machines in BG:DiA, and I'm working ot make more of those.

And they literally cite making/selling/buying magic items.
Good. Redeemed in my eyes!
