Sword coast adventures is a down to earth, classic adventuring D&D campaign set in 1370DR forgotten realms (2e, pre-spellplague), during King Obould Many-arrows attack on Mithral Hall. The campaign takes place elsewhere on the sword coast, showing the impact of a long lasting war on the lands surrounding it. With great characters such as harkel harpell, and the BBEG of the campaign being Jarlaxle himself, fans of forgotten realms lore will have a great time getting to see their favorite piece of lore discovered by players who know next to nothing about the sword coast.
We play mostly 5e RAW, with a very light touch of homebrew, such as a warlock rebalance (that was replaced with the warlock UA on its release) and an artificer rework, along with a few generic houserules.
We're doing our own book on Kickstarter! It's going to be amazing--300 pages, art, and so much high quality content you'll be drownin' in it... Click here to check it out and sign-up!
That's how I was with 3.5, the system I learned on. Also, I love your profile picture...

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

2e was the system I learned on. I remember waiting for the release like it was Christmas.
