This item is a tooth, roughly human in size and shape, but a milky blue in color. The tooth can be "paired" with up to 5 other blue teeth. When blue teeth are paired in this way, the users may use them to verbally communicate. By inserting a tooth into the user's ear, s/he can hear verbal messages sent by paired blue teeth. In order to speak into the tooth, a user must gently touch it while it rests in his/her ear. 

The blue teeth are paired with each other when they are gargled together in one creature's mouth. A blue tooth becomes unpaired if it enters the mouth of a user who did not pair the set.
