This +1 double bladed longsword is sleek and silver, with an indent running up the center of it's blade cast in jade bearing the image of a winding snake.
As a free action, you may speak it's command word to make the shortsword uncoil into a whip weapon, granting it a 10ft reach and giving the finesse property.
Also when in whip form, Viper Edge may be used to grapple opponents. If an opponent successfully grappled by the weapon ends it's turn this way, it takes damage from the weapon as the sharp coils tighten around them. You have advantage on grapple rolls against opponents smaller than you and disadvantage on opponents larger.
