Wand, uncommon

A small ash twig with 1d4+1 leaves still attached. The leaves stay fresh, green, and healthy even if the twig receives no water or sunlight.

When a leaf is plucked from the twig, a small woodland Beast (badger, bat, fox, frog (or toad), hawk, lizard, owl, poisonous snake, rabbit (or hare), rat, raven (or other small bird), spider, or weasel) is summoned, and emerges from foliage nearby (within 100 feet). If there is no nearby foliage (trees, bushes, undergrowth, etc), nothing happens.

The animal has the normal stat block for the chosen Beast. The animal is friendly to the caster and their allies, unless attacked by them (in which case it will flee and not return). The animal acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn. The animal can't attack, but it can take other actions as normal.

If reduced to 0HP, the animal dies. If resurrected it acts as an untamed, wild animal (and will likely flee without a spell or successful Animal Handling check). If another leaf is plucked from the twig while a summoned animal is already present, the first animal flees and does not return.

Once all leaves have been plucked, the twig has no more magical function.
