Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Bloodhunter)

The Bloodhunters, a name rarely spoken of now, almost a whisper of a myth at this point. Cleaver of Misfortune was a key tool to those high in the order, but was locked in a temple after their apparent disappearance.

The Cleaver of Misfortune resembles a vicious dadao. The blade is a silvery white, leading to the dark edge with damascus-like patterning. About 1/4 of the way down the blade is spikes outward creating a small  hook. The edge is honed to such a degree it makes no noise as it glides through the air. Skilled Hunters are able to use this finely honed edge to split a hair on a Balor before sinking it into their skull. The cross guard resembles the maw of a Green Abishai swallowing the blade, leading to a hilt wrapped in a fine dark brown leather with red helical double-stitch. Embedded in the teardrop pommel is a red ruby.

Legends say as the sword inflicts wounds on it's wielder's enemies, the rubys appears to feed.

Versatile Force.  A versatile, flexible weapon, the Bringer of Misfortune may be wielded with one hand dealing 1d8 slashing, or with two hands dealing 1d10 + ½ your Bloodhunter level, (rounded down) as slashing

Abject Strength. This item requires 16 Strength to wieldDue to its weight, you may not apply your proficiency bonus to hit is it requires more strength than normal to wield.

Whirlwind of Misfortune (Requires Attunement). You must be wielding the sword with two hands. As part of a melee Attack action you may decide instead to make the attack against any number of creatures within 5 feet of you, with a separate Attack roll for each target. Treat each target of cleave as a regular attack. This ability may be used once per long rest.

Honour's Tear (Requires Attunement)The pain of your enemy feeds the ruby dangling from the pommel. Damage inflicted from this weapon feeds the ruby. After dealing 250 damage to enemies across all combat, the ruby becomes satiated. Once satiated the ruby binds the weapon to the wielder. Every 10 heartbeats (this does not cost an action), the user may banish or summon the Cleaver to or from a pocket dimension.

Proficiency with a greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
