Staff, legendary

A plain oak staff with a familiar left hand fused to the end.

Whenever another creature with a physical form gets within 5ft of the wielder the staff will grab them off its' own accord. The creature must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw, on failed save the creature must contest the wielders strength or be unable to use the movement part of their action or disengage as long as the wielder stays in that spot. On each following a failed dexterity saving throw and failed strength contest the creature must beat a DC 12 strength saving throw or continue to suffer the item's effects.
