Ring, very rare (requires attunement)

While wearing this ring, you can cast the jump spell from it as a bonus action at will, but can target only yourself when you do so. When you do so make an arcana check. If it is a 10 or more the ring functions as normal. If it is a 5 to 10 then your jump distance is 3 times more than a typical jump spell. If it is lower than a 5 your jump distance is 5 times more than a typical jump spell. If it is a critical miss it is 10 times more than a typical jump spell. You are unaware what the results are until you actually make the jump. If you jump very high you take usual falling damage. If you jump horizontally and overshoot and hit a wall, tree or other solid object you take bludgeoning damage of 1d6 for every 10 ft jumped after the first 10 ft, this amount is calculated off what would have been the full distance as that determines the speed. If you jump horizontally and just land you take fall damage as if you'd fell 1/4 as far as you jumped horizontally. 

The curse can be detected on an arcana check of 15 or above, or with an identify spell.
