This staff is made from rough brown wood and smells faintly of smoke. It was wielded by Tim the Enchanter, a powerful Evoker who aided King Arthur in his search for the Holy Grail. After Arthur's Untimely arrest, Tim disappeared, disgraced by all his wizard brethren. This staff is said to be all that remains of him.
properties
the staff has 20 charges which can be used to fuel the staff's properties. the staff regains 1d20 expended charges daily at dawn.
The Staff's wielder can use the staff to cast the following spells
Fireball (1 charge), burning hands (2 charges), chaos .bolt (always deals fire damage only, 3 charges), create bonfire (1 charge), Fire shield (5 charges), Hellish rebuke (6 charges), heat metal (1 charge), investiture of flame (7 charges).
Spirit of Tim: the staff is possessed by the spirit of Tim, the mad Evoker who wielded it. each time the Staff's wielder uses its charges to cast investiture of flame, they risk being possessed themselves. Each time the staff's user uses its charges to cast investiture of flame, there is a 10% chance that Tim's spirit will try to seize control of their body. the user must make a DC16 wisdom saving throw or become a chaotic neutral NPC under the DM's control. While Possessing a body, Tim tries to cause as much destruction as possible, using the staffs properties as though they didn't need charges.
