Is there a plan to make the bot available for private servers as well?

Eventually. In its current format, I don't see why they couldn't just open it up to invites right now though. They're also going to somehow make it tie-in to your DDB account so that you get access to whatever content you own on DDB through it.

You can make the wand as a magical item and simply put cantrips on it and change as needed. As worded, I would recommend taking Acid Splash because the bonus damage is added to the damage of both targets.

Words don't quite convey how I feel about this so I need to add singing and dancing as well:

    Quote from Cardinal_Fang >>

I couldn’t help but feel that there was something missing also. Like, there’s more to this story that should be here. And in the end, I was left wondering what the point of the article ultimately was about. Yes, it recalled a lot of the turbulent history of some of the early days but I was also left wondering how they got into millions of dollars of debt during the 80’s, things like that. I mean, yes they allude to some of Gary’s expenditures when he traveled but yet again, there wasn’t as much substance in some of the parts as there were others. Sounds like Lake Geneva, WI is the place to be, though, hehe!  I mean the place has a beach named after Bigfoot, why not get Gary’s statue a better plot of land than a swamp?

I haven't read that particular article so forgive me if they addressed this in it, but TSR's woes were primarily due to overproduction of too much content as well as gross mismanagement.

Interesting. Unless I'm mistaken, Adam has spoken about implementing a feature similar to this but hey, that's probably a long way off.

Given the various issues like this, and other permissions-based problems, that have been cropping up over the past few days, I'm betting that it has something to do with the impending content management update.

While I agree that the feat is mostly pointless and poorly designed, I'm not sure why you're posting this request here as DDB has no power to change what WotC do with D&D.

You've done IT support, I bet.

posted a message on Can you recommend a Discord bot to organise D&D games?
    Quote from Shocklord >>

I would recommend the Avrae bot. It works very well once you learn how to use it and it's compatible with DnD beyond. However it does not work with homebrew.

I have a Discord for my regular D&D group that I'd like to use for as much as I can to reduce our group's reliance on Facebook. Although I've found some organisational and attendance bots, they all seem geared towards raiding in various video games. Now, while it would be amazing if the upcoming DDB Discord bot were to include some sort of attendance attribute, I doubt it will and even if it does, I don't want to wait for it.

So here's my question: can you recommend a Discord bot to organise D&D games? I'm looking for something simple and easy to use that can track group attendance but also be an event organiser for D&D sessions, so there needs to be some sort of facility to include session recap information, time of event, location of event and name of event. It'd also be nice if I could include the location of our randomly chosen food venue but that's probably getting a little too specific

posted a message on Hex Weapon and Staff of the Magi (and a language problem with Oath of the Ancients)

Magical staves don't seem to be choosable as hex weapons at all. I've brought this up before as well. Apparently 'staff are aware' but nothing has been done about it.

posted a message on Mega Menu Feedback - Review and Next Steps

I like the new Creations menu options however it now looks super ugly with all those blue and white buttons. Unless it's already part of the process, then someone on their 'slack' weeks will hopefully create some pretty little icons that represent each different type of creation so as to differentiate them more than mere text alone (like the Sources menu).

Not currently. However, if you use Google Chrome you can get the "Beyond Help" extension which allows you to add folders and sort your characters that way.

Or any Chromium browser like Opera or Vivaldi.
