posted a message on Adding existing character to a campaign?

Just use the campaign link, and it should let you choose that character.  Once he is in the campaign just unassign it.  You should be good to go at that point.

posted a message on Issues using testflight to get latest version

Has anyone had issues getting the latest version?  I had issues getting the latest version of Testflight, finally got that click install for latest version of Beyond and the icon starts an endless spin, sometimes it will time out saying it failed and ask me to retry, has been like this for the 14 hours or so.

posted a message on Blood Hunter shown in Official classes page

It shows up as an additional class.  I think the all classes doesn't just list the official ones, so it may be that the all classes link is in the wrong place. Thinking it should probably be Characters -> Classes -> All

I made a thread about this, but maybe this is the better place. I've suddenly (as of last Monday 10/1) lost the ability to set the Sidebar to "Fixed." The option is no longer available. The only options I have are: left/right/locked/close. My friends still have the "Fixed/Floating" option.

I prefer "Fixed," so I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it was removed. I had the option as recently as 9/27. I've tried clearing cookies and logging out/logging back in. It's such a useful feature for me, and I'm pretty frustrated and confused as to why it's suddenly gone. Appreciate any help.

I believe it has to do with the resolution of your screen. Try to zoom out a bit and see if the "fixed"option shows up.

Is there any way to have the settings persist thru a screen refresh?

Except that you can copy it, you just have to take the time to create the character under your own account as the DM, since the DM can see the entire character.  I've done exactly this as I have one player that occasionally can't make it and forgets to unassign his character so that one of the other players can run him while he is out.

    Right on. That. Thank you.

Plus, I can tweak with alternate versions and/or any number of things that -- in this particular case -- save the real-life player time not currently available for such jacking around (myself TOO, if I didn't have to recreate the entire thing from scratch).
Then we don't have to spend the session (and everyone's else's good time) doing [feces] I could've already done.

The possible reasons for doing so are legion, but the only one really required is: "It's my campaign, and I want to be able to make a copy of PC character sheets." Followed closely thereafter with, "I'm also paying money for this whole thing here, so that's also a pretty good reason to facilitate my being able to do my campaign my way."

Oh I agree it would be nice, is a pain to make sure that I have created my copy to match his exactly, but for now is a doable work around.

Because it is not your character and if the player wanted you to copy their character they can make a copy and add it for you so there is no need at all for you to be able to copy their characters.

Except that you can copy it, you just have to take the time to create the character under your own account as the DM, since the DM can see the entire character.  I've done exactly this as I have one player that occasionally can't make it and forgets to unassign his character so that one of the other players can run him while he is out.

Wouldn't it be easier to just click unassaign then assign it to the player? Then redo this when the character's owner comes back? Recreating the sheet seems like a lot of work and a very roundabout way for something you can already do with a few clicks of a mouse.

It would, but the player in question always seems to forget to do it, so I keep a copy of him on hand for that reason.  When he remembers to unassign it is no big deal and when he forgets I add the copy to the game so someone else can control his character.  He is fully aware that this happens.  Wouldn't be right to do it without him knowing.

posted a message on XGtE Warlock Subclasses

You might want to post a link to the character, that way the mods can take a look and better assist.  While waiting if you haven't already you might try clearing your cache and trying again.

posted a message on Fighter Homebrew bug?

well if you want to use it, you can just don't publish it, that is where you are getting the too similar message from.  If you are wanting to publish, not sure what to tell you.  You might post the class features and which sub class it says it is too similar to, and perhaps someone might be able to help identify why it is getting rejected.

posted a message on Scroll of protection not linked

Not sure if this is really a bug, but see the link below.  seems the scroll is for a new form of protection spell.

    31. Calendar Stone

The scroll of protection in the Treasure section doesn't follow the format of the other scrolls in the module, the others are listed as spell scroll of protection.  with the appropriate spell being linked.
