Innate Spellcasting. The Sea Spawn Aspect's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17, +10 to hit with spell attacks). It can cast the following spells at will, without requiring material components:
Cantrips (at will): eldritch blast*, toll the dead
5/day: arms of hadararmor of Agathysdarknesscrown of madness
3/day: blightblack tentacles
1/day: maelstrom
* 3 beams, 3d10
Tentacle Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 11 (1d12 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Coral Graft (recharge 5-6). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage. The target must also make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On failure, the target takes 4d6 poison damage and is poisoned. While poisoned in this way, small polyps of coral begin to form all over the poisoned creature. After three turns, unless cured, the creature is entombed in coral, and is treated as petrified.
The Sea Spawn Aspect has three legendary actions, which it can take at the end of another creature's turn. These actions are renewed at the beginning of each round.
Cantrip (Costs 1 Action). The Aspect casts one cantrip.
Lash (Costs 1 Action) The Aspect makes one Tentacle Lash attack
Feed (Costs 3 Actions) The Aspect engulfs a creature that is unconscious or dead, devouring it and regaining 4d6 hit points. Unconscious creatures targeted in this way lose one Death Saving throw automatically, but are not killed outright.
Description
A twisted patchwork abomination, formed from sea creatures, fetid seaweed, and madness, the Sea Spawn Aspect is among the more formidable of the Old Man's abyssal soldiers.
When passive, the Aspect appears as a churning mound of plant matter, small crustaceans and tentacles, and driftwood. To attack, it forms a roughly humanoid shape with a large pseudopod, blending plant and animal tissue into a single rotting body, with small crabs, mollusks, and other sea creatures skittering among it. More dangerous than its blunt physical attacks, though, is the venom contained within its spines, capable of causing coral growths to erupt from and eventually entomb its victim.
