Description
Lizardfolk are primitive reptilian humanoids that lurk in swamps and jungles. Fiercely territorial, they kill when it is expedient and do whatever it takes to survive.
Do you own the book that made them PC's on here? If not that's why.
how short can they get?
it really helped me.Thanks.
(:
They dont all look like that and there is a playable race of this in volos guide to monsters
Running a modern Earth setting where these guys act like shapeshifting Reptilians, so way smarter. Lore is that they're not aliens, but are instead intelligent dinosaurs (what's left of them anyways).
They want you to pay for the materials from the DND beyond market place store to access that content.
An excellent description and general knowledge methodology for green player, DMs, and new/infrequent players. Thank you for your contribution.
Alright, I probably shouldn't be doing this, but here is a link to a Lizardfolk Race without needing to buy Volo's Guide. However, It won't work with DND Beyond, so this is more of a character sheet type site.
Lizardfolk 5e
Is it possible for my character to be lizardfolk? I’m joining a campaign and really wanna be a lizard :/ if so how do I find the stats
In my homebrew world I am running the lizardfolk depending on the clan they belong to. Some are friendly if treated right like the ones from Salt Marsh and some clans are your typical ones that like to eat humans.
I have allowed them to be a PC as long as the player is willing to except the consquences and stigma that go with being a lizardfolk.
Ahh! Actual variety in attacks from a low-CR creeature!
Or, wait... three of the attacks are (pretty much) identical. Nevermind then
why do lizardfolk live in Swamps? true many reptiles do, but it is not to keep their eggs wet and moist, that is amphibians that do that. reptiles have hardshelled eggs, they lay them either in piles of rotten vegitation or warm nests like sunbaked sand.
Here is a thing to do. Variation. Lizardfolk out int he desert living as raiders, lizardfolk in trees like chameleons. Gecko traited lizardfolk that climb walls and celings. Huge brute lizardfolk with toxic saliva like Komododragons. give them regenerate wounds.
sounds like annoymous rex.
The case Zero for having reptilians as human imposters is Rober E Howards King Kull Story, the shadow kingdom, where the serpentmen shapeshift to assume human form
thanks for the tip man, you're awesome!
I have one of these in my campaign as an npc. he's a "wandering" businessman, aka he got lost in the desert like 6 years ago and is just chilling.
Looking at the stats, this is actually a very powerful CR 1/2. Good AC, good Health, Swim Speed, Multiple highly relevant skills, and averaging 10 damage per round assuming it hits every attack- Not to mention having access to a ranged attack, and being medium sized, which allows large numbers of these guys to single out and mob a single target.
Why doesn't it also have a claw attack? The Argonians from Skyrim had that instead of a bite.
