False Appearance. While the forgotten teddy remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal teddy bear.

Shield of Allies. When the forgotten teddy is targeted by an attack and has an ally within 5 feet of it, that ally and the forgotten teddy can swap places. If they do, the ally becomes the target of the attack instead.

Tangled Mind. If the forgotten teddy becomes Charmed, Frightened, or Stunned it ignores the effects of that condition. The forgotten teddy deals 1 additional damage with its Claw attack for each of these conditions affecting it.

Darning. If the forgotten teddy has died within the last hour a mending spell cast on it restores 1 hit point.

Actions

Multiattack. The forgotten teddy makes two claw attacks.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.

New Best Friend (Recharge 6). The forgotten teddy targets one creature that can see it. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 13 or else become Charmed by the forgotten teddy. A creature of size Small or smaller makes this saving throw with disadvantage. While charmed by this effect a creature is considered an ally of the forgotten teddy. A charmed creature may repeat this saving throw whenever they take damage, ending the effect on a success.

Reactions

Button Eyes.  When a creature targets the forgotten teddy with a spell that requires a saving throw and targets only the forgotten teddy it may use its reaction to force that creature to make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 13. On a failed save that creature must choose another target for the spell or the spell fails.

Description

The forgotten teddy appears as a soiled, torn, discarded teddy bear. Some might say it looks adorable in how pathetic it is, others may scoff and ignore it as a piece of waste.

Caretakers. Before becoming just another piece of garbage, the forgotten teddy was a Precious Teddy - a creation of an artificer seeking to distill childcare into a loving construct friend. The Precious Teddy was designed with the knowledge and capabilities to care for a child's emotional and medical needs... Traits that now give the forgotten teddy a hunter's knowledge of how humanoids act.

Corrupt Refuse. Years of wondering why they had been discarded or shelved, followed by the realization that they were nothing more than a temporary fascination has corrupted this toy construct to its very core. It now has an untameable anger within that has granted it great knowledge, and which drives it towards revenge against the humanity that betrayed it.

Everlasting Friendship. Though the abandoned teddy has a drive for vengeance, it still follows its core directive: To bond with a child. They are attracted to children and small humanoids that they see as children, desiring to establish permanent bonds with them by any means necessary.
