What Is Revel's End?
Revel's End is a prison located in the frigid north of the Sword Coast in a region known as Icewind Dale. The prison first appeared in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, where it served as a setpiece to contain the region's dangerous criminals. An impenetrable fortress carved from a tall, blade-shaped rock, Revel's End is situated on the shore of the Sea of Moving Ice, allowing it to be accessed by land, sea, or airship.
The prison is under the control of the Lord's Alliance, and they use it to house those that have committed serious crimes against the member's cities, including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, and Waterdeep.
Any way you look at it, Revel's End is a tough nut to crack. The unforgiving environment, total isolation, and fortress-like defenses make the prison all but impenetrable. That is, unless you know the right crew.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
You've been hired to infiltrate Revel's End and extract information from one of the prison's earliest inmates, a dwarven crime boss now known as Prisoner 13. How you break into the jail and gain the intel is up to you.
What You'll Find in the Prisoner 13 Adventure
Prisoner 13 contains everything you need to run a heist-based adventure for 4th-level characters:
- A player's version of the map so they can formulate a plan
- Adventure hooks so that DMs can add this adventure to their ongoing campaign
- Profiles on key NPCs
- A detailed sandbox environment for players to explore and execute their plan
- A stat block for Prisoner 13
How to Access Prisoner 13
After claiming your copy of Prisoner 13, you can find the unlocked adventures in your Sourcebooks collection. To access your collection of sourcebooks, open the Sources menu. Then, beside "Sourcebooks," select "View All." From there, you'll find Prisoner 13.
Nope, not enough to win back fans. Your "leadership" keeps screwing up and no amount of free one shits (not a typo) is going to bring people back into the fold. WOTC sucks, and they keep proving it.
"In my viewpoint, honestly guys like me (white man) can't leave D&D fast enough"
-Kyle Brink, WOTC executive
Honestly, I can't wait to see One D&D fail miserably and WOTC goes broke.
Paizo literally has every published book online for free. They're not giving away mediocre teasers from a book they want to sell you, no, they're giving you their entire digital library away for free.
This freebie is literally an enticement for people to buy the full book.
They have the effects in P13's stat block, but they are not part of the free adventure as separate magic items, nor (going by the Table of Contents) are they in the full book. Some other adventures have new items, and a set-out at the end of the adventure with a "Magic Item: <Name of Awesome New Magic Item>".
Sounds like a easy fix for the DDB staff to make a homebrew article about though!
Seems nice, Might try it with the bros.
I instead of following the adventure set for me leave this place, set up a chain of pubs and earn millions of gold pieces. With this money, I simply bribe my way to the top of the local government. I then release prisoner 13 with minimal effort, all over the brief amount of time that means I have enough money to release prisoner 13 days before their death. Chaotic Good Solution.
Noice
Thanks looks fun
Was the fact that two of the walls are missing on both the Player and DM maps of Revel's End intentional? I mean I heard that the player's maps were supposed to be inaccurate. There are not walls to the southern courtyard! It is sort of funny. No wonder it looked odd to me. I was wondering why that one building was so far away, from the rest.
They are shown on the RotFM map. Maybe Auril or Arveiaturace came in with a rough landing & crashed thru the prison?
This seems like a really fun adventure and I think it would be amazing to play.
what is interesting to me is that people keep saying “oh this sucks why are they doing this, I can’t leave dnd fast enough, blah, blah, blah” but then they take the time to talk about how bad it is and complain.
seriously, if you people don’t appreciate the posts and things DND Beyond are putting on here, just leave.
I am definitely trying out this adventure, it seems like it would be fun to try to sneak into the compound instead of just using explosives to fix the problems
Why did the southwest courtyard of Revel's End get removed? There were walls around a southwest courtyard on the map in Rime of the Frostmaiden, but now there's just a watch tower there.
Why does the guy behind the bars look like he's doing the "lightskin face"? XD
Dunno, you'd have to ask her.
This campain is going to be epic!
If I bought a hardcover copy at my local game store to get the Alt Cover, is there any way I could qualify for the digital part of the bundle? I'm loathe to purchase it twice...
No, there's no connection or discount available between digital and physical copies of the books.
I was looking for this comment😂

My players murdered a guard and tried to cover up the body by making it look like he exploded while going to the toilet by... Sigh.. But casting gust up his butt...
Anyway they got discovered by the other guards covered in blood and poo. They never even spoke to or saw prisoner 13.
This feels like repackedged cut content from icewinddalr :/
