Waited a bit too late on the Christmas shopping for your favorite D&D player? Or perhaps you’ve decided you need to #TreatYourself after fighting through 2020? Whatever the occasion, we’ve got the right thing for you: the brand-new D&D Beyond Player Bundle!
The perfect bundle for creating the D&D character (or dozens of characters) of your dreams! Purchasing this bundle unlocks four player-centric, official fifth edition D&D digital sourcebooks available on D&D Beyond. You can read the books and use all the contents inside with D&D Beyond’s Character Builder and Encounter Builders, and tools we develop in the future.
What Treasures Lie Within
Behold the wealth of power found in this dragon’s horde of player options:
First is the Player’s Handbook, a resource that all D&D players should own. If you’ve been borrowing your book from your Dungeon Master, borrow no longer. Go beyond the free Basic Rules by picking up all 28 new subclasses for the twelve original classes, ten new backgrounds, 41 feats, and 57 spells for your spellcasters!
The Basic Rules are nice, but isn’t it time you went beyond basic? And why stop there! If new subclasses, spells, and feats are what wakes you up in the morning, there’s far more where that came from.
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything fills your plate with a little bit of everything, with 31 new subclasses like the Hexblade warlock, who draws arcane power from blades of darkness forged in the Shadowfell, and the Swashbuckler rogue, who foils foes and charms friends with flair, style, and rakish panache. If that’s not enough, try 52 new spells, 15 new feats, and 50 quirky magic items on for size! The stylish cloak of billowing will make your character look heroic no matter where you go, and the devastating steel wind strike will make your ranger a terror on the battlefield!
Not satisfied? How could you be! Your D&D game is limited only by the size of your imagination, and we haven’t even begun to unlock the deepest, most imaginative corners of your mind, have we? In Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, D&D’s newest and shiniest book, we grant you the power of a brand-new thirteenth class: the Artificer, a maker of marvelous magical inventions! Can we tempt you with 22 more subclasses, for all thirteen of these classes?
You might unlock terrific psychic power by playing a Psi Warrior fighter, who can push, grab, and hurl things with their mind. Or perhaps you’ll call upon the powers of the beast within your soul by playing a Path of the Beast barbarian! You can’t pick wrong, when it comes to the options found within this tome. Even better, Tasha’s cauldron is truly overflowing with power, because it offers you 15 more feats to customize any character, 46 brand-new magic items including magical tattoos and spellbooks from across the multiverse, and 16 new spells, including new summoning spells that make it easier than ever to sit back and let someone else do your dirty work.
Now the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide is a horse of a different color. It’s a useful tool with a few new player options, like the spike-covered, dwarven death-hugger barbarian who follows the Path of the Battlerager. But its real power lies in its lore. Have you ever felt intimidated by the years upon years of lore and secrets layered onto the Forgotten Realms? It can be hard to play a character in a world that you know almost nothing about.
Fear not, adventurer. The Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide takes a deep dive into the stories that make the Realms exciting and fun—and learning this lore will make your character’s history bigger, better, and beefier than ever before.
Already have one or more of these books in your D&D Beyond account? The price you paid will be subtracted from the price you pay for the bundle!

Hmm, I might get this! Especially since I don't have any handbooks yet.
First! Been waiting for something like this to show up. Not sure if I'll get it (I have a lot of paper sourcebooks), but excited that we have the option!
I have the entire Player Bundle, and I love it. D&D is the best game ever and to bring it to its full potential with this bundle is great I can create almost every character build so THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!!
Thank you for providing this bundle!
I just wish this also included Volo's Guide to Everything and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes for the racial options they provide.
Man, this is really tempting! Sadly, I already own the Core Rulebooks and Tasha’s (as hardcover books), and I’ve found none of the Xanathar’s stuff really appeals to me. It’s great to have this option though!
Getting Sword Coast for five bucks is pretty primo. Now I just need to slowly acquire the sourcebooks
I definitely need this since I just started playing and i think I'll have lots of fun.
Already owned most of it already (was taken aback when the discounted price came up as $1.99!). It's good to see a bundle more geared to getting people started on D&D Beyond though; also a good first one for DM's looking to start using the campaign content sharing.
For the regular players though I feel like it could really do with a couple of extra character creation slots bundled in though, as six doesn't go far when it comes to creating lots of new ones 😝
I wish they had the option of getting a hard copy through them, too.
I already have 3 of these books bought at various discounts, so SCAG for $25.02 doesn't really appeal to me
Hmm, a build your own bundle would be nice:
1 book at full price, 2 books with a small discount, with a discount that grows as you add more books to it. That might make me pull the plug on the books that I've been eyeing (Volo's and a few adventures).
I know, it's ridiculous that it's possible to buy it for $1.99!
Wait, how did you get the Player Bundle???
Dang it! Missed cyber Monday sale, books I don't want in bundles. Oh well can't please everyone!
It would be great if you gave a partial credit for buying the bundles for books we already have purchased. Not a full credit but some percentage would be nice, and fair.
I believe that is already factored in, yes. The price automatically adjusts based on what you already have.
I was talking about not wanting to buy any of the bundles, as there are books in each one I don't want / need.
There are individual books I would get, but missed the cyber Monday deal where books were $20 each (not bundled together).
i get the whole thing now
Is the bundle permanent? Because if so i'm gonna pick it up right away. it's essentially a huge discount on sword coast and it;; give me reason to pick up the xanathar's items i'm missing.
What do you mean by permanent? Anything unlocked through a bundle is fully unlocked exactly as if you purchased the book on its own, so you'll own it for as long as D&D Beyond exists.
I bought it... but including Sword Coast, 90% of player parts of which are already in other books is a bit cheap. I wound up having to buy all of the additional player races from Volos guide in order for my players to actually use the bundle.
Taking out SCAG and including maybe only the race options in Mordenkainen's and Volo's would make this so much more worth.
I was asking if the sale itself was permanent..
but it doesn't matter because i bought it already.
