Homebrew Ailuran Race Details

One time I saw a bear of a man insult an ailuran - called him 'fluffy', well he was on his back before a chuckle was heard in the bar. Don't cross these folk, they pack a lot of power in that small frame. And even though they are fluffy, you'd best keep your comments to yourself.

Travelling from their mountain forest land, ailurans are red panda-like humanoids driven by a sense of justice to right wrongs in the world. Having no other motive except for righteous equality, ailurans travel from village to village, seeking out evil doers.

Justice Served

It is not uncommon for ailurans to leave their homeland, most adults have gone on at least two walkabouts in their life. The elders of their city often encourage young ailurans who have recently come of age to wander the world and bring light to dark places.

Ailuran Names

Each ailuran has a two names, the first given to them at birth by their parents, the second that is their true name determined by their clan's shamanic elder after their coming of age. This second, and true name is sacred and rarely shared.

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Ailuran have lifespans equivalent to humans.

Ailuran tend toward good alignments, as they are naturally driven by a deep personal sense of ethics and justice. This instinctual drive is further developed by the society in which they live.

Size

Fully mature ailurans stand at two feet tall, with exceedingly rare exceptions encroaching on three feet. Your size is Small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

You have a red panda's keen senses, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Forest Scoundrel

Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 30 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Dexterity modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
