Homebrew Pandafolk Race Details

Usually not living in a city or with other races, Pandafolk have not delved too deeply in the culture of other folks in their province. The ancestors of the Pandafolk have chosen a place where they could live for a long time. Before the people started living in their own small villages, the Pandafolk were nomads. Scattered across the whole realm, they would wander and gather herbs for their brewings dedicated to the one spirit, the Dragon. After the Dragon Spirit commanded that they should build isolated villages to live in without encountering the bad influences spread across the realm, the people settled with their tribe in a place where noone but the Pandafolk would ever wander. Deep in the jungle, atop a snowy mountain. The Dragon Spirit had always given one blessing to all the Panda's, but because of the difference in climate and atmosphere between the tribes, he summoned five animals as spirits to guide his children. The Turtle, the Yeti, the Serpent, the Jaguar and the Fox. Ever since, the Pandafolk have lived in the place they do now. After centuries, the Pandafolk have adapted to their home very well, partly because of the blessings given to them by their spirits.

Pandafolk Traits

Chian was sitting on his favorite rock close to the village because he could look all the way over the jungle from there. He opened his eyes wide from surprise when suddenly a butterfly landed on his nose. Trying to sit as still as possible to make sure the butterfly wouldn't fly away, he didn't notice he was slightly leaning to the left. After a second or two he lost his balance, making him tumble all the way down the hill...

Age

Pandafolk reach adulthood around 16 years, living to up to and around 250, but the town elder is often granted eternal life by the village's spirit.

Alignment

Most Pandafolk tend towards a lawful alignment, living by the rules given to them from their spirit.

Pandafolk are 7 to 8 feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Endurance

Your walking speed doesn't halve when passing through difficult terrain. Creatures your size or smaller than you walking through the path you created behind you don't suffer from the effects of difficult terrain.

Thick Fur

You have resistance to cold damage, but are vulnerable to burning damage

Darkvision

You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
