Homebrew Drow (2.3 Alpha) Species Details
Drows usually stand from 4'9-7ft tall. Your size is Medium. The Drows have skin color that ranges from grey to light blue. They have common eye colors from varying shades of amber, varying shades of red, they also have two eye colors that are a rare trait, varying shades of brown, and finally varying shades of silver eyes.
Drows have evolved and further grown as a civilization, asides from the ones stuck under Lolth's harsh rule as a goddess. Their rare genes that were kept under lock and key by Lolth, but the ones that managed to escape and move elsewhere to thrive on their own and try making their own way with ways similar to what they were raised in while under Loth's reign, but in a much kinder manner to their children. They are still ruled by a Matriarchy but if there are no Queens then it does go to a Patriarchy, the one with the blood of the queen and will continue as such until there is another female in the bloodline.
Drows are often the misunderstood elves that just do not want to be compared to their Dark Elf brethren, the ones under Lolth's reign.
The Drows are used to the judging stares they get from people they see often in their city they made high up in the mountains of Pholubnse, often they will travel out and explore any and all realms around them, trying to learn what they can and will help as much as they can, but they are hardly ever without any common sense when fighting. (More to come in another update)
Drow (2.3 Alpha) Traits
Sunlight sensitivity, Drow magic, Intergrated ProtectionSuperior Darkvision & Sunlight Sensitivity
Your darkvision has a radius of 130 feet.
You have terrible day vision of less than average being 25ft during the daytime.
You are extremely vulnerable to the sunlight and after spending one and a half hours straight in the sunlight without any shade between it and you(cue wear cloaks with hoods so you can last longer in the sun, about two or three hours more) you start to take 1d4 damage every two hours you spend in the sun after. You will have a strong headache that grows and causes your mood to sour greatly while causing you to snap at those you call your own, the more time you spend in direct sunlight with no breaks of shade. However in damp climates while in sunlight ei: You stay in sunlight but its a cloudy or very foggy day, maybe you're exploring in a thick forest with lots of shade? You will gain 1d4 HP every two hours while in a damp climate.
Drow Magic

Languages
Per your Drow race histories, you know Undercommon, Common, Elvish, and two other languages of your choice.
Swimming & Retractable Claws and Fangs & Magically Amphibious
You also can swim up to 35ft
You have retractable claws and fangs.
Magically Amphibious, your body adapts subconsciously to grow gills on your neck once your head is submerged underwater, the gills fade from your neck when unconscious or when your head leaves the water. This cannot be undone by any magical means as it is a subconscious magic growing the gills in place on your neck upon your head being underwater.
Drow Ages
The longest known Drow to have lived was 1000 years old, however they did not die of natural causes and were killed so how long a Drow can truly live is unknown.
Scale Coverage(Possible) & Wings(Possible)
Roll a d100 and if you get below 50 then you get Scale Coverage which is a rare gene. Anything above 51 and your Drow has a rare gene that allows for them to have retractable wings on their shoulderblades to fly.
Immunities and resistances
The Drows have gained these Resistances Cold, Necrotic, and Acid. The Drow also has these Immunities, Fire and Poison.
Soul Bond
For someone that is other than a Drow themselves to be offered a part of the Drows very soul to bond with is very scared and happens even more rarely, as due to the race having a bad history with the world, but what the Soul Bond(a type of Marriage Bond so to speak) is that the others lifespan grows to meet with the Drows, making them able to live as long as the Drow(Dark Elf). Here is the catch that no one other than the Drows are aware of, the Soul Bond allows for the partners to heal each other when they are dead within five minutes of the death, allowing them or their partner to cast Spare the Dying or Resurrection on themselves and the spell will travel instantly to their deceased partner, causing them to regain life, not at full health, but their partner will be alive and that is what matters to the Drow and possibly even their partner. This is know because the partners feel a sharp sudden pain in their chest when their partner dies(death saves per say for the PC) and this lets them know they have five minutes to cast one of the two spells to save their partner.
However there are downfalls to this as well, when your partner dies you must make a Con saving throw of 16 or higher so you do not die with them as well, this will cause you to feel large amounts of pain that causes you to have blurry vision(disadvantage on all perception checks), a pounding headache that causes for you to miss what details you would normally notice(disadvantage on checks and saving throws asides from death saves) while in this state you can barely move around without triggering some sort of phantom pain from your partners death that causes 1d6 physic damage. Depending on how deep the Soul Bond is, depends on how long this state with the Drow(or their chosen partner) feels this phantom pain. It could be as less as two weeks(a not too deep Soul Bond) or it could last a month(a really deeply Soul Bonded pair)
There are limitations to being able to heal/bringing them back to life. EI their body has turned to instant ash by dragon fire, their brain is missing by a mindflayer attack(if this has happened then you need to hope that the ones with your bonded put the complete brain back into their head within the five minute mark so that you can cast Resurrection on your bonded so they can come back to life) if their head is missing they can not be brought back to life by Resurrection until the head has been reattached within the five minute mark. They can easily be brought back with missing limbs, ei: leg, hand, arm, or foot but the bleeding will need to be stopped either before or after.
