Homebrew Viridian Species Details

In Aurelia's golden age of rediscovery, a undiscovered race of people were resurrected from the long-forgotten history books of the Age of Arcanum. Most famously brought back to the land of the living by none other than King Atlas d'Anatolia, the construct-like metal-and-magic peoples once forged for war were given new life and light in the twilight years of the ninth century PD.

Called Viridian because of the brilliant blue-green shade of their trademark residuum hearts that beat in their chest, these construct-like humanoids have magic coursing through their veins. A mixture of sturdy Anatolian metals, living wood, and refined residuum give the race their iconic look.

Where their ancient predecessors were often crafted with a singular purpose, Viridian began as an initiative to give new life to a race once bound by the motivations of their creators.

Each spark is individual, and while many Viridian are aware of their ancestors bloody history, very few choose to follow in those difficult footsteps. Even still, their massive, armor-like frames are found more than suitable for combat. Given their natural proclivities for magic, many Viridian choose to explore their full arcane capabilities; some Viridian see their origins as divine and choose to walk a righteous path.
