Homebrew "Aquatic" Voidal Species Details

Aquatic Voidals are aquatic-like creatures created by the Void Of Creation. They are typically squid-like or leech-like and can evolve quicker than other voidals. Their quicker evolution however, is due to the fact that all of them either gain power by devouring their opponent or by leeching it off a host. They have no understanding of "culture" as they have no time to create, nor observe, a civilization while the more powerful aquatic voidals are constantly massacring anyone weaker than them.

Squid-Like Voidals

With their variety of limbs and bodies made of void, the squid-like voidals are mainly known for their ability to rapidly reach a gargantuan size. The smallest of them is 3 feet tall with the biggest being the size of a planet. They have 2-13 long appendages and have 1-8 eyes on their body. Squid-like voidals have various abilities which include: Using void fluid to propel themselves into the air, using frills as a form of glider for air travel, incorporate inanimate materials into their body via consumption, merging seamlessly with any body of liquid such as puddles or oceans, and many more.

Leech-Like Voidals

With an appearance of a leech and uncanny speed, these voidal parasites work differently than your average leech. Rather than consuming blood or nutrients, they can consume specific traits of a creature and incorporate the stolen traits into themselves or pass unwanted traits to the next host. Their bodies are, at least, 5 feet long and the entire inside of them is lined with sharp teeth, due to a voidal's lack of need for organs. The traits a leech-like voidal can steal range from strength, wisdom, and dexterity to truesight, wizardry, and passive perception. They may also steal physical traits from limbs, eyes, and ears to blood, scales, and skin.

"Lifespan" And Behavioral Types

All voidal beings can live forever, it's whether they can survive that's the problem. Aquatic voidals can have __ behavioral types, Psychotic, Mechanical, Beast, and Hive. There is also the specific type of Squile.

PSYCHOTIC: BLOODLUST - The voidal craves bloodshed and massacres indiscriminately. SPITEFUL ENVY - The voidal inflicts the pain, torture, and despair it has suffered through onto any unfortunate enough to cross its path. PLAYFUL - The voidal "plays" with its food before consumption, giving their prey an extra painful death.

MECHANICAL: MINDLESS - The voidal bears no emotion and only knows murder, it kills indiscriminately with no hesitation nor mercy. MERCILESS - The voidal will not hesitate to slay those who offend or threaten it.

BEAST: INSTINCT - The voidal is not sentient and knows only eat or be eaten. TERRITORIAL - The voidal claims a territory and will protect it from those it believes are weaker.           FEAR - The voidal will flee from those it believes are stronger than it.

HIVE: HIVE LEADER - Commands Hive Spawn and is much more powerful. HIVE SPAWN - Is slightly stronger than average and will never betray its superiors. HIVE RAGE - The voidal will become enraged if a fellow hive member is slain by the enemy.

SQUILE - This voidal is part of the Squile Hive. It has their knowledge, power, goals, and morals. It will force others to eat parts of it, quickly infecting their body and mind, until they are part of the Squile Hive. 

A voidal can only have traits from its behavioral type due to them being a product of a specific voidal creator. The Creators involved with aquatic voidals are: Scarlah, Mencile, Fear's Fear, Frank, Zee'isle, and Predarei.

Voidal Senses

Voidals have evolved several unique traits due to the Void Of Creation's habit of shifting in and out of existence between several realities. Voidal senses is a trait all voidals have and it allows them to sense the presence of magic and determine whether it is a threat. It was evolved due to several powerful magic individuals killing off voidals because of their threatening appearances.

As a parasite from the Void Of Creation, you hunger for the powers that others have.

Size Of An Aquatic Voidal

Aquatic Voidals range from 3 feet to everything bigger than 3 feet. Your size is Small, Medium, Large, or Gargantuan if you are squid-like. If you are leech-like, then your size is Medium, Large, or Gargantuan.
