Homebrew (2024) Half-Medusa Species Details
Born from a medusa and a human, the half-medusa's look mostly human and can be mistaken for them as well.
Their hair is typically green, purple, or blue, though can be the normal colors of humans.
The curse of their lineage leads many to cover their eyes when in public. Using glasses, goggles, or some other form of eye cover.
Ability Score Increase: When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20.
Age: Matures at the same rate as humans, reaching maturity at 18 years. Often live to over 300 years.
Creature Type: You are a Humanoid
Size: You can be either Medium or Small.
Speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet.
Languages: Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of languages to choose from. The DM is free to modify that list for a campaign.

Your walking speed is 30 ft.
Skill Proficiencies
Your lineage has a tendency to frighten others. This presence grants you proficiency in the Intimidation skill.
Petrifying Gaze
When you meet the gaze of another creature directly, you can use your action to force it to make a Constitution saving throw, (DC 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Constitution Modifier) if you aren’t incapacitated and can see the creature. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is instantly petrified. Otherwise, a creature that fails the save begins to turn to stone and is restrained. The restrained creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn, becoming petrified on a failure or ending the effect on a success. The petrification lasts until the creature is freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic.
After using this ability, you must make a Constitution saving throw, (DC 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Constitution Modifier). On a failure, you take one level of exhaustion. At the final level of exhaustion, death, the half-medusa dies and turns to stone. This effect is permanent and can only be reversed by use of the True Resurrection spell or Wish spell.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

I made the master sword.
You should lowkey change the name to half-gorgon considering that Medusa is only one gorgon of three Gordon's in the myth.
Well, in Dungeons & Dragons gorgons are large, metallic bulls that breathe a petrifying gas while the medusae are the snake haired being that petrify with their gaze.
