Homebrew Virtueborn Species Details

 To see undue reverence and expectant stares is barely the surface of these unholy fusion children's' life. Mistreated and abused for centuries, in recent years they have been honed by Project V.I.R.T.U.E. into weapons of war. Behind their cold eyes is the fear of a child in soldier's shoes.

Unholy Bloodline

Appearing mostly human, the Virtueborn can disguise themselves in a pinch. However, a few traits stand out from birth. Streaks of silver and white in the hair, wrinkled fingers at any age, and most peculiarly, a mark in the shape of a bird on the back of the neck.

Virtueborn Names

Being mostly human, many Virtueborn have standard human names. However, the subjects of Project V.I.R.T.U.E. typically pick a "Virtue" name, to signify their holy paragon status. 

“Virtue” Names: Pride, Kindness, Grace, Confidence, Compassion, Courage, Patience. 

MET WITH MISTRUST

People treat Virtueborns as an omen of war. Wherever they go, death and destruction follow. As such, people tend to avoid them or leave town when they are spotted. Tread carefully, unfortunate child. Some are convinced that a Virtueborns' death is enough to stop a war.

Virtueborn share certain racial traits as a result of their similar lifestyles.

Ability Score Increase

Your Intelligence score increases by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 2.

Age

Virtueborn mature at the same rate as humans, but after 30, stop aging and live until killed in battle.

Size

Virtueborn are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Your training has unlocked a hidden light in your eyes, allowing you to see in darkness. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Paragon Legacy

You have immunity from Radiant damage.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Celestial.
