Homebrew Virt Species Details
Origin: Evolved from moles with the influence of magic.
Biology: Reliant on scents, hypersensitive skin, and magic sight, with sharp claws for digging, short, bad vision.
Omnivores. Love red meat and salmon.
Settlement: mountain ranges, underground set of tunnels turn to cities.
Language: Virter.
Behaviour: Virt prefer to live underground and love to collect stuff, sort it.
Virt are stubborn, stick to their traditions and are proud of their clan.
They love to be as compact as possible, fitting everything closely together. Virt sort their things and hate a mess.
Virt love magic. Are magic craftsman, as they can see magic, but don't have native magical powers.
Society structure: Virt's politics revolves around the clans, each clan holds political power and influence.
Other: Their clothes are insanely convenient and pleasant to wear.

The creature has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

You gain Tremorsense 30 feet.
Innate Magic Sense
You can cast Detect Magic at will.
Natural Artificer
Virt are natural artificers and craftsmen due to their innate ability to detect magic. You have Advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) and Intelligence (Arcana) checks made to understand magical artefacts.
(Optional) You can craft artefacts in half the time that would be normally required.

Your character knows Common and Virter. Knowledge of a language means your character can communicate in it, read it, and write it. Your class and other features might also give you languages.
Virter is a language spoken by Virt.
It is both a verbal and a Morse-type language. Due to their hypersensitive skin, Virt can sense vibrations over great distances, so they often use a pattern of knocks to send messages.
The language has a lot of consonants.
