Homebrew Aeithyr Species Details

"As the battle of the three nations commenced and the armies clashed, the crimson rivers flowed as I saw a sea of shimmering blades and shields. Who was I but a man, a grain of sand on the incomprehensibly large gathering of a desert. I stare deep into the sky, thick in smoke and ash. A wave of terror and awful pride washed over me as the battle raged on, I had done this, this was the handy work of my pride and greed." -King Fervaroksh

Aeithyr are an off-shoot of the human race that were made by the gods shortly after Humans, this makes them one of the oldest races in Irgie. They have a small place in the world, only being found in tribes across savannas of Derrin' Shtol''. Aeithyr are respectful and friendly to all races however hold a certain caution towards the non-natives of Derrin' Shtol''. among themselves they have a strong paranoia for the other tribes, in the past this caused a great war between them that almost wiped out their whole people. That great war ended in a treaty, where the tribes agreed to never build great cities so as to not threaten each of the other tribes. Despite their dwindled numbers and simple societies, the worlds best scholars and strategists are counted among them.

The Aeithyr share similar skin, hair, and eye colors to humans although the shades are sometimes slightly off in some way. their bodies are compact making them have a quite static height range from 5 to 5 and a half feet tall and weighing on average from 140lbs-180lbs. A distinctive feature of the Aeithyr is their runic markings running all the way down their spines, each of the three tribes have their own unique markings.  Aeithyr usually live longer than humans and commonly live to be just over a century but never more than half a century after that.
