Homebrew Yokai Species Details
From the hidden bridges between the material plane and the Feywild, the Yokai live as avatars of nature and enforcers of its will. Although they are very similar to the Fair Folk, being as fickle and powerful as them, they hold mortals in a more indiferent opinion, with some Yokai deeming them weak usurpers of the land belonging to Yokai by right, while other Yokai bear the self-imposed duty of protecting mortals, as they are born of nature, just like them. Yokai who decide to acompany adventurers tend to take druidic vows or tread the path of a paladin, and a Yokai's alingment ddepends solely on their view on the creatures of the material planes.
