You got the letter earlier this morning, your new assignment. You had never heard of the Shadow Initiative, and didn't realize there was a team called S-V, and as far as you knew, room I-16 didn't exist due to a weird mix-up in construction. At your various times of arrival (You are supposed to be there at 14:00 hours [2:00 pm] what time would your characters be there? Are they early, late, exactly on the dot on time down to the millisecond?) You stand between rooms I-14 and I-18, where there's just a blank wall decorated with a painting of small golden-furred puppy in a wicker basket. (I would like you all to introduce yourselves to each other, or not, depending upon your character's personality :)
Emra arrives half an hour late, her brown hair still a mess from bed. She's wearing a hastily pulled on shirt, trousers and waistcoat (all black except for the white shirt, if that interests you). As she joins the others, she starts to smarten herself up.
"Hi, I'm Emra. Any of you guys know what is going on here?" she asks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Already standing by the painting since 14:00 hours sharp, seemingly admiring it, is a middle aged man, brown shoulder length hair, sporting a well-trimmed beard. He´s wearing a fine mostly yellow attire and a red cloak, and has some gear by his feet. "Not really, but we´ll soon find out I´d expect." He says to Emra without taking his eyes of the painting. "Mr. Nemo by the way." After a while you notice small details of his appearance disconcertingly changing as if it wasn´t quite stable, making him a tad bit unsettling.
Perception to notice any hidden doors by the painting with help from Mr. Nemos assistant Mr. Tenebricus sitting invisible on his left shoulder:18
A very small Rabbitfolk hops around the corner at around 14:40 hours, he is wearing a garish mix of reds and greens, and he has two drums strapped to his sides. ”h-hey guys, is this where I’m supposed to be?” He flashes the letter that he got, pulling it from a hidden pocket in his very odd outfit. “I thought that I-16 didn’t exist! Oh, people call me Sticks. If you were wondering…”
A pretty blond woman wearing black studded leather armor, with a long cloak over it, and wearing an, also black, ankle length tunic under everything, comes walking up a couple minutes before the meeting time. Her blond hair is loose down her back. She moves silently though, moving across the floor without making a single sound. Her emerald eyes twinkle in amusement as she arrives, looking to where the room does not exist. "So, think the numbering system is just off, or do we wait for something to change?" She asks as she glances to those already there.
At 5 past 2, a man in leather armor walks up to the painting and says to you:
“Just you two so far huh? Unnecessarily early. There will be no need to talk. We will wait for your companions.”
He stands very stiff, his leather armor strapped tight. Any time either of you try to talk or engage he holds up his hand to stop you, tsking loudly. He has impossibly shiny boots, a well trimmed beard that matches his short charcoal-black hair, and smells like hickory smoke and wool. A strange, though not altogether unpleasant smell.
@Bender & Stephanie
When you round the corner, the man tsks yet again, saying
”Late, far too late. I told Eveglen, I told him that you would be unprepared, inexperienced, and under qualified. Did he listen to me? Nope. We are still waiting for two of your team. No need to talk,”
The next team member comes running around the corner in the middle of the man's latest comment, skidding to a halt with a silent sigh. The light-gray kobold is wearing a set of dark brown clothes, a black belt, and gray boots. A perceptive eye could detect a set of studded leather armor hiding underneath his clothes, as well as a pair of slits in the back of his shirt.
Pulling a screwdriver from his belt to fiddle with, Tradrek says between breaths, "Lost time. What I miss?"
Emra looks at Tradrek, grins and says, "Breakfast." (Yes I know it's 14:30.)
She pulls out of her pouch a frying pan, altar fire and several eggs which she fries and places between slabs of buttered bread. While she does this she indicates for the meeting to continue with a wave of her hands.
As she eats her late breakfast, Emra takes a closer look at the man (what race is he, how old, does he seem strong, or agile or more of an academic kind of person).
(He appears to be human, but more of a jack-of-all-trades. He stands straight but tense, as though ready to spring at a moment’s notice. His left hand rests on an old black chain while his right holds a pocket watch, which he checks frequently, but not frantically. More of a lazy curiosity, slightly amused at the lateness)
(If the wall is an illusion, then Sparks would have noticed it. I assume therefore it is not an illusion, if it is then will need to update.)
"handy trick that." Sparks says with an amused smile. She shrugs and follows after. "Is the wall made into a liquid, air, or is it some other sort of transmutation of the material?" She asks as they move through the wall.
As you pass through there is a strange sensation and you feel slightly unsettled, but then it’s over, and you’re on the other side.
You emerge into a wide circular room, lit by merry torches in the sconces. Seven chairs are arranged around a large circular table made of dark wood that has a pit about three inches deep filled with varying colors of sand. The walls are decorated with intertwined snakes working together to fight a fleeing coyote. The man stands at the chair the farthest from the entrance and gestures for you all to sit down.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nemo sits down at one of the chairs while studying the colored sand trying, with the help of Mr. Tenebricus, to determine it´s purpose. Knowledge check:12

The man looks down at you with a small scowl, before going back to dissociated staring.
Eventually, he rolls his eyes and says;
”Come along”
and walks through the wall.
Farewell.

(Ah, right. Illusions. Fudge. Right. Need a few minutes to think of an excuse for that one :)
Farewell.
Inaudible sound waves interact with the atoms of the wall in such a way that renders the wall intangible. Science, and magic. Totally how that works 👍
Farewell.
With no apparent reaction to the man walking through a wall Nemo follows him.

Stick enter the wall after Sparks. Sticks is only slightly disturbed by the strangeness of walking through a wall.
