Backstory
Tildrash's early years unfolded in a serene village nestled by a tranquil lake called Elmside. This cosmopolitan haven, had been recovering from the shadows of his father Genkel's dragonborn clan (Clan Gorthax), whom he rebelled against and escaped from after the ransacking of the village. This dilapidated village unexpectedly became home to Genkel, Tildrash, and his mother, Difreth, an elf alchemist.
Genkel and his family intentionally chose to settle in the community once raided by his old clan, seeking redemption and fostering community. Initial suspicions from villagers due to Genkel's past ties were gradually overcome as trust was earned through actions and dedication.
At the age of 10, Tildrash faced an owlbear cub in the nearby forest. After he had managed to survive this attack by the skin of his teeth, he was inspired to commission a distinctive set of leather armor from the owlbear's pelt. Skillfully crafted by a local armorer, the owlbear leather armor became a symbol of Tildrash's early triumphs, adorned with unique markings.
Genkel, proud of his son's bravery, cautioned Tildrash about the consequences of senseless killing, drawing on his experiences with the dragonborn clan. Difreth, practical and wise, offered a balanced mix of support and motherly guidance.
Embracing the village's diverse inhabitants, Tildrash became a man of the people, actively engaging in communal activities and fostering unity. Tildrash, with his distinctive owlbear leather armor, symbolizes resilience and shared triumphs, a testament to his unique journey within the village. Known for his willingness to lend a hand and listen to every side of an argument, Tildrash embodies values of cooperation and understanding.
Now a young dragonborn, Tildrash has grown into a responsible and compassionate individual, embodying lessons from the village that embraced his family. He now ventures on from his past home and onto the new horizons that may await him.
Other He likes anything that has citrus in it, to an extent.
It was a particularly normal day until around mid day the sky blackened it lasted only a few moments before everything returned to normal. Several days passed with no sign of the strange anomaly nor any evidence of what had happened. Many of the villagers fear they had somehow angered the Gods but some others prefer to ignore it muttering things of the past in hushed tones. It was early morning several weeks later that a strange man wearing a black coat and sandals wanders into town saying “where’s the ro—“ before collapsing to the ground landing face down in the dirt. A small crowd gathers wondering what to do about him a man shouts that they should throw him out because he might be another bad omen many shout their agreement
I stand atop a crate and holler above the clamour, attempting to grab the citizens’ attention.
I try to reason with the townsfolk, declaring that, before we grow unruly, we must bring this man to a doctor so that we might save him, or at least discover what might have killed him.
Standing above the crowd you shout out trying to reason with them. Many faces turn away from the collapsed figure towards you. A voice shouts out “Well what are you lot waiting for! You heard Tildrash get this body to the doctor!” Several older boys scrambled to lift the man in the black coat. Boaris -the man who had spoken- walks up to you saying “Crazy how superstitious a few seconds of darkness can make a crowd. Glad to see that someone can be reasonable. Odd seeing strangers in these parts, what do you think he was going to say?” He looks off towards the place that the boys had gone.
It’s hard to say. Likely something about a road or room, maybe even a trinket. No matter the case, I just hope we can get an answer. (OOC: Am I familiar with Boaris?)
(OOC yes Boaris is the village’s shoe cobbler he stands at around 5’6” has large bushy eyebrows that are almost always furrowed his balding head is covered by a dark green alpine hat, he’s in his mid sixties) “yes perhaps the Doctor knows something” he says
“Speaking of which, I think I should try to check on the man, maybe I can find out what’s going on,” I responded. “Thank you so much for helping me wrangle the crowd, hopefully they won’t be as unruly once we find out whatever’s happening.”
He nods “glad to be of help, I’m not one to believe in curses but these be troubled times and I’ll be a lot happier once it’s over” Boaris waves his goodbye and wishes you the best before walking away to the Leaning Stool for a drink. You stroll over to the barber's shop to check on the man. Inside the small room is a comfortable chair where the patrons can get a haircut the large glass window is smeared with a thin layer of grim like it was washed with a dirty towel. The floor creaks slightly when you walk inside. there is an open doorway to the hospital part of the building where you can see rows of beds. There is also a staircase leading up to the home of the Doctor/Barber. (the barbers name is Doctor Dylem Heford his friends call him Lemmy he is a tall broad shouldered man with a raven black pompadour and a handlebar mustache, he wears a red silk vest and a white shirt. He’s known throughout the town as a soft spoken man who may not look it but has a soft spot for poetry)
The Hospital is better lit than the barbershop as its smaller windows are better cleaned though still smeared. There are 12 beds 6 on each side most are empty the doctor stands over the man in the far right bed. There is also Autumn the village’s elder Druid sleeping in the closest bed on the right. (Elmside has always had its own Druid circle to look over them. Many of the Druids had fought the Gorthrax. So when your family had tried to join the village most had opposed it. However Autumn’s Grandmother, Rose —the elder before Autumn—had spoken that you should be allowed to remain and redeem yourselves. After Rose had passed Autumn took the Role as elder however when the sky darkened she fell ill and has only gotten worse since.) You speak to the Doctor and he looks up “he has no external wounds nor any injuries of any sort as far as I can tell” he speaks softly in his smooth thick drawl. “He seems to have simply fainted from exhaustion. He was holding this” he shows you a wooden Medallion carved into it is a snake wrapped around a antler.
You are not familiar with the medallion or it’s snake antler design however you have seen a wooden medallion before with a different design you can’t remember what or where you saw it
“Uh yes of course Tildrash glad to help” he hands over the Medallion and continues to examine the man. You leave to the tree fort overlooking Elmside lake where the council of Druids hold conference. Just on the shore of the lake a large beech tree stands with a lavish house the size of a small hut nestled between its branches. A staircase wraps around the trunk and up to the hut. You walk up the stairs and enter the building. It is only a single circular room with large window like openings however there is no glass so a faint breeze blows inside. Sitting in the room is a half circle of the Druid council members save for Autumn. They are heatedly discussing something from what you can hear it sounds like it’s about the darkness that had came to weeks before and also some comments on the absence of Autumn and what they will do without her judgement.
Their argument continues for a little while before one by one all eyes turn to you. A woman wearing a simple brown dress and a thick green shawl embroidered with leaves stands her long necklace jangles as the wooden talisman bounce around. She walks up to you and asks “Tildrash what brings you here? I sense shifts in the winds,” she looks out one of the windows overlooking the lake “you have knowledge of the darkness don’t you?” The other druids look at one another with surprise. (The woman’s name is Dahlia)
“I may, though I myself don’t know what sort of knowledge I’m bringing to you.”
“I was in the middle of town this morning, and a man, looking rather in a hurry, ran in asking for… something. But before he could finish, he fell unconcious to the ground.”
”But I’m delving too much into the details. The main reason I’m here is because Doctor Heford found this wooden trinket off the man and I thought maybe a druid might know what it is.”

what do you do
I stand atop a crate and holler above the clamour, attempting to grab the citizens’ attention.

I meander my way into the hospital section to Dr. Heford. I make my presence known “Is he alright, any injuries anywhere?” I ask.
The Hospital is better lit than the barbershop as its smaller windows are better cleaned though still smeared. There are 12 beds 6 on each side most are empty the doctor stands over the man in the far right bed. There is also Autumn the village’s elder Druid sleeping in the closest bed on the right. I’m going to roll for insight
2
Bruh XD
Why are you making a insight check exactly? I’m not sure if it’s for the man or the Medallion I guess it doesn’t matter because a 2 fails either way
Yeah mb, I was insight checking to see if I could find out about the medallion
You are not familiar with the medallion or it’s snake antler design however you have seen a wooden medallion before with a different design you can’t remember what or where you saw it
I’m going to try to head over to the druid circle and ask about the medallion. “Thank you doctor, good luck to you.”
“Uh yes of course Tildrash glad to help” he hands over the Medallion and continues to examine the man. You leave to the tree fort overlooking Elmside lake where the council of Druids hold conference. I’m going to wait until my presence is known, just standing waiting patiently for them to finish whatever they need to discuss.
Their argument continues for a little while before one by one all eyes turn to you. A woman wearing a simple brown dress and a thick green shawl embroidered with leaves stands her long necklace jangles as the wooden talisman bounce around.
