There is a "virtual dice roller" mechanic when you post
you can see a little dice when you edit a post completly to the right, a small window appears, where you can choose how many and what type of dices you roll for what type of action
Ok thanks will have to do a bit of reading then but will get you at least the background of the character
Background was a small war time vet if u can call him that he stayed for almost 6 monthes but left after he was decalred a bit of a loon in the armeys eyes after claiming he heard rocks whispering to him and even set fire to some rocks with some whiskey but the armey blames the whiskey for thinking he can't hold his liquor but he's good with a sword so he decided 1 of 2 things one to become a mercenary and two to try and figure out the whispering rocks and is currently a mercenary with the occasion of bits of wool in his ears
Hope this is something that can do my first time doing one of these like this
Backstory: The All-Purpose-Arcane-Support series of Warforged was an experimental line that was build by Darix a disciple of the original Warforge-Creator Merrix of House Cannith. Darix was quickly expelled for his forbidden research and the entire line was disbanded after showing non-anticipated and unintended upgrade patterns. Therefore only 10 prototypes similar yet unique are known to exist each powered by the heart of a different colored Dragon.
APAS-7 is one of those sporting a silver-dragon core, fitted with Tinkerer tools allowing self-modification of her chassis. She found her way to Sigil on purpose in search of a suitable patron and has joined with this ragtag group of companions looking for further self-improvement.
Ok going by the sound of it Bram would be the leader of the group, Andre is the medic, Darun sounds like he would play point/scout and Kain looks like he would be the one you send in to break a line or breach a building.
As for the others looking to join, ill have a look and see what I can do, I have built a lot of the back story, organisation structure, way of operating to literally be the fantasy equivalent to a private military corporation. So parties operate as units/cells and for bigger operations team up etc, the units are somewhat flexible. I just have to check what I have mission wise and see roughly what I can throw at you guys ( this first part of the campaign is mostly to get the team established, get a feel for the players and how their characters work together) and whether I would be best having you play as separate units and have you do team up at a later point.
Even the npcs you will go going against i am having to flesh out how they play, what kind of traps, wards, spells they would use ( They wont just be amateurs or easy to stop ) . haha I've currently got most of my living room covered in books and paper tweaking, refining and working out some challenging ops for you and also got the more traditional monster hunts, etc.
For gold go with it being the starting amount as 500gp 1d10x25gp. I have been thinking about your equipment I would suggest kitting your guys out as if they were going on mission, so bed rolls, rations, etc sorry if I’m stepping on Brams toes!
you can certainly pick up and uncommon or below magic item if you think it ties with your characters background or their role within the group if not your characters will have something to play with by the time you go on your first mission.
You will get a chance to make purchases after you have been deployed on your mission just incase there are any other considerations or items you are going to need to achieve your plan to complete the objectives
And has Uncommon item i think i'll go with Gauntlets of Ogre Power, it'll be of great help if i'm to be the Breacher, to break down Doors/walls/barricades.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gold roll - 3 x 25 = 200
For items I would prefer winged boots And a jar of restorative ointment to kind of flesh out the “medic” vibe. If you feel like the winged boots are a bit much, I could also go for a wand of entangle
So you have a 500 gold start with a extra 200g Craig, drinks are on you!!!
Rex you can have them but as they are gauntlets you character can’t sense how much strength he is putting into them. 😂 do not take a toilet break with those on...

Lol
Even though it could lead to hilarious situations, i don't think thats how it works, but then again, i might be wrong.
...You know what?, actually instead of a pair make it some sort of Whole arm cover, a bit like a Space Marines Power fist...
but that look like this,
And i have to be carefull not to break stuff with it, just making a STR check, i can of course either de-activate the power fist function with an action, then loosing the STR bonus, or taking it off, but i think the de-activate might be funnier in some situations.
Shame really that they din't introduce Axe gauntlets back in the game allready...
...i'm thinking just going with the flow here, slightly modifiying the Gauntlet?, making it a prosthetic, and giving it the "light shield" trait?, when i'm not attacking with it/ or trying to ram something with it, i get a +2 to AC, but since i don't hold anything in my "hand" i can use it freely, but once i attack with it (improved unharmed strike type of shit)or use it for something else then defense then i loose the AC bonus.
Also its permanent, so i'll always have to be carefull with it, untill i get the hang of it.
It could be that i actually got my arm crushed when we where send in some god forsaken shit hole to hunt down some Ogres, still managed to slay the sunofagun that chew my arm, brought his carcase back as souvenir to hang his head over the fireplace at the Base and the Organization medics/alchemists/Wizs used the bones and flesh of the Ogre to make this, so that i can be in combat shape?
Now since then when i cast Eldrith Blast, it comes from the gauntlet, Iron Man style.
I think everyone allready catches on that i'm a huge Berserk fan...
Just going on with a crazy idea.
Just seeing if this works [Tooltip Not Found]
Aww, the magicitem tooltip doesn't seem to work with an homebrew item, thats a shame...
All my supplies are hard copy and don’t have anything linked to Dnd beyond. So my character sheet will be mostly for stats and item management but my subclass and stuff will be wrong. I don’t mind keeping half my stuff written down on paper, but if someone is able to share the phb might make things smoother.
You can always make a free DnDbeyond account, and i think that Malal (5th Chaos God) as enabled the Share of content function for the campaign, wich means that you would have acces to everything, every DnD digital content for free, at least for THAT character in THIS campaign
Or if he din't then apparently since i have a Master sub, i can do it.
I've finished my character needs a little more work but Flint should be able to smash some skulls together or at least the loon who can be a bit funny either way
Haha funny you should say that I do have some notes for an arena style combat. Right I’m going to have a kip as I’ve apparently been up for 20 hours and it’s taking its toll on me. I’ve got a campaign set up but need to add the story etc to it
Hey I'm new to this post to play 2 questions
1st off what edition is it I currently playing is adnd second edition
2nd umm how does one roll dice and stuff like that here
If u still have a room for a newbie would be glad to join
DnDbeyond is for 5th Ed

So for Now we only have our starter equipement right?
What about our starting gold?, is there the possibility to make some purchases/acquire some items?

For sure! Do we have this gold and the equipment or is some of this being paid for out of our pocket?
