I cant for the life of me get it to show here. So here's a direct link.
You are all in a tropical city under the blazing sun. The familiar sounds of a harbor — creaking ropes, slapping waves, heavy barrels rolling across cobblestones — mingle with voices shouting and cursing in an unfamiliar language filled with clicks, inhalations, and singsongy words that make it sound almost musical. The aroma of unfamiliar spices and tropical fruit mixes with the wharfside smells of fish, tar, and canvas.
Beyond all that, Port Nyanzaru is an explosion of color. Buildings are painted in bright shades of blue, green, orange, and salmon pink, or their walls are adorned with murals portraying giant reptiles and mythical heroes. Every building sports baskets and clay urns of colorful flowers or is draped in leafy, flowering vines. Minstrels in bright clothing adorned with feathers and shells perform on street corners. Multicolored pennants and sun awnings flutter atop the city walls. A crowd of children dressed in feathered hats and capes races past you, squealing in delighted terror as a street performer costumed as a big-toothed lizard stomps and roars behind them. The whole city seems to be bustling, sweating, laughing, swearing, and singing.
You all roll comfortably within the confines of your beds, nestled atop your blankets. As your eyes adjust to the light you all begin to realize that it's almost mid-day, though both parties are very far apart, and one is oh, so much closer you're almost late. With only a quarter of an hour to get to Alderlocks' ship before he raises anchor, and heads for distant harbors. Neither party is aware of the others existence, though they both share the same destination.
In the tavern of Era and Burgee, the maids have long since left, their duties done, and your stay already paid for you will have no trouble leaving, though your things are scattered about the room, as the night before you had enjoyed the Serpenswine-ale before settling in, and it hit you both harder than expected. Realizing this, what do you do?
Gustav and Truk wake up seven minutes after this, their stuff neatly packed, and ready to go, thanks to the bellhop of their fine Tavern, one of upper-class luxury, thanks to Gustav promising to perform below to reduce the cost and upgrade themselves to the finest room the place had to offer. One of the pair makes their way to the third story window, only to see the very ship they sought passage on, loading up it's final cargo! Just outside your door, you hear the rushed bustling of busy bellboys, maids, and other staff, on top of which you hadn't paid your 100GP fee the night before. With how busy it is outside, and how many patrons are roused below, leaving may prove difficult. What do you do?
The streets outside are busy with merchants, civillians, Yuan-ti guards. The sun is almost at it's apex, blazing heat beating down on the busy streets, with hardly an inch to spare. Many scents assailing your nostrils, making you all realize you're quite hungry, and there is no time to stop for morning supping.
--Era and Burgee you are both very far away. You have 15 minutes to make it to the boat or they will cast off without you. Every failure costs you 1 minute of time. It will take you 6 minutes to get to the boat, if you dash every round. Talking to each-other does not consume time.
You may employ 'other' methods to circumvent this, if you're crafty.
In order to not fail, you will have the following challenges:
Gathering your things: Roll for Sleight of Hand, DC 10. You may proceed without your things but you will lose all except your primary gear, and it will cost you 1 minute of time from your total. Once you decide to keep or abandon your belongings, you may proceed to the next phase.
Phase 2 - RUN! Running without dashing costs you 30 seconds of your total time but give you advantage on your checks. Dashing will cost you no additional time, but impose disadvantage on your checks.
Due to how busy the streets are, there's hardly room to move at a running pace without potentially tripping and costing you a full minute of your time. As it will take you 6 minutes to get to the docks, each successful check will move you ahead by one minute, meaning you must make atleast 6 successful checks to ensure you make it, or not fail more than 9 minutes worth of checks (Reminder: In-Room check costs 1 minute per failure. 30 seconds is lost for every successful check without dashing. Every time you fail a check, it also costs you 1 minute of time. If you fail a check when you also did not dash, it costs you 1:30.)
- You may make up to 6 checks per post for the sake of speed. Please be detailed in your actions, and make sure I know whether you dashed or not on a particular check. I will keep track of your remaining time.
--Truk n' Gustav You both have 8 total minutes to get to the ship before it raises anchor and leaves you behind! Luckily it will only take you 1 minute to get there! You must pass the following checks to make it to the ship in time. Thanks to the overcrowding, due to the staff and patrons, it is highly difficult to move, and all checks are at disadvantage.
You may employ 'other' methods to circumvent this, if you're crafty.
Leaving the Tavern: You haven't paid for your room, after having promised the night before that you would in the morning. One of you must pay 100GP to the front counter, however you're not the only patrons there paying their tabs or getting their rooms. Doing this will cost you 5 minutes if you wait in line to pay. Refusing to pay, and running out will potentially have consequences.
If you choose to pay, you will have 3 minutes left on your timer.
If you choose not to, you will have 8 minutes.
To get out of the Tavern, regardless of whether you pay or not, it will require 3 successful checks to escape the Tavern as new patrons rush in to check in before the place is booked. DC 10 athletics, or Acrobatics (All at disadvantage) Each failed check costs you 1 minute, and has a chance to cause other issues.
Phase 2 - The final stretch! once you've made it out from here, you can practically dash to the docks, but must pass 2 DC 18 Athetics or Acrobatics checks at Disadvantage. Every failure outside costs you 30 seconds.
Truk turning back from the window says to Gustuv "Crap! The beds too soft. We sleep too good! We gotta run or miss the boat!" Looking down from the third story window. "What do you think? Leave gold. I jump, you climb? It's not so far?"
(OOC: So, I've built houses and the sill of a 1st floor window, depending on the foundation, is usually between 3' - 6' from the ground. Each floor is usually 8' but seeing as this is a nice place it could have 10' ceilings, or at least on the first floor? So that would put the bottom of the third floor window somewhere between 19' to 26'. Does that sound about right? Sorry, I suppose I could have just asked but tend to think out-loud.)
Gustav, who had been about ready to fill up his pipe, sighs and puts it away again in an inner pocket. "You go on ahead. I'll see to our debts here, and be right behind before long." He chuckles and grins brightly with still glistening white after so many years. "I got more than enough tricks up my sleeves to make it. Do be a good giant, and not step on any halflings this time? Their a tough lot, but not every one is susceptible to my charms. Or so my friend Oghma seems to have dictated."On that note, Gustav offers one last fist bump before the jaguar-like tabaxi makes his way down stairs to pay for things.
As he waits in line, the aged Tabaxi keeps an eye and ear out for opportunities to overhear the conversation of those ahead to pick out possible avenues of cutting ahead: be it through bribery, words of wisdom, or simply ask politely with the explanation being he might miss his boat and last opportunity to say goodbye to his family before death by sickness claiming him.
(OOC: The fist bump and word of encouragement is meant to be for Bardic Inspiration as well as Guidance. BI Lasts 10 minutes, Guidance will last only long enough for the 1st check, and Truk can add a d6 and/or d4(respectively) to any ONE roll prior to the end of that time frame. Not sure if there's anything you want me to roll for this, but if there's a chance he can use insight, persuasion, or deception to cut ahead without causing too much of a ruckus doing the underline portion, let me know.)
Truk fist bumping Gustov says "OK. I won't let the ship leave without you my friend! But hurry!" I'll then look down at the street for an open place to land.
Despite her head throbbing in pain at the hangover she woke up with (dumb funny drinks, tasting so good but then making you feel bad in the morning!), Era is grinning ear-to-ear, simply beaming with excitement. Nothing was going to ruin her mood, headaches included! The genasi was quick to hop up on her feet and rush her way over to where her birdy friend rested and gave them a 'gentle' shake to rouse them from their slumber.
"Burgee, come on, get up, get up! We gotta goooo!!!" She elates. "We're kinda a little late, but, we got this! Let's help each other clean up and get out of here unless you wanna leave all your stuff behind and go!" She wasn't too fond of the idea of leaving her stuff behind (she spent good money on it!), but if it helped them get to the boat faster, then so be it! She still had plenty of coin to spend (assuming the boat ride goes well), so if anything she would go about and go on yet another shopping spree.
((Wanting to know if helping each other would be possible for packing our stuff up since it makes more sense to me, but if not thats oki! another question, would Era be able to cast Druidcraft on her and Burgee to smell like they got stank on by a skunk to help part the crowd a little bit allowing them to dash without disadvantage? unless my little bird friend has another idea!))

Burgee darts awake at the sound of the familiar voice. He chuckled, and then winced "Ohhh... my head. All I remember is thunder, snakes, drink, thunder, snakes, drink..." he said but then caught the serious tone in Era's voice. "Late? How late?" He jumped out of bed and looked at the strewn room and the clock on the wall. "Yeah, yeah, we can do it, good plan," he says as he starts singing, "What would you think if I sang out of tune... Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends, yeah..." and he helps Era gather her things before he begins gathering his. (Gather Gear assuming advantage: 15)

1 As Truk scans the area below, attempting to find a shortcut, finding none directly beneath him, his eyes happen to scan over a piece of the trapped ocean within the harbor, and a wave, just at the perfect angle, flashes nearly direct sunlight right into his eyes, blinding him in several spots, though not completely. Just before he was blinded, he noticed a spot several feet away as the crowd below was gathered too densely.
Truk: If you choose to continue, due to being blinded by the sun reflection (30 seconds of sunspots, but not absolute blindness) Make an athletics check, with your modifiers (this will NOT count against your guidance). That will set your DC. Then, make an acrobatics check with your Athletics check as the DC for it. If you fail the check (so you can role-play it out) you will land on several people near the point you attempted to jump to. If you get a 1-2 on your roll, you will land on a guard, and a fight will break out.
5 Gustav notices that one of the patrons seems to not be very talkative, and doesn't really seem to mind the wait, if he asks nicely, that person will likely let them through (DC 2 - persuasion) everyone else, however, seems quite intent and perturbed and will likely not let you (DC 18 - persuasion, intimidation will cause a brawl. There are a total of 5 patrons ahead of you. Once a DC is failed, attempting to cut more will potentially result in a brawl)
Using Druidcraft is allowed, and yes, Burgee may cast fly on you both which will negate the need for any rolls but will cost him two spell slots for the day.
The timer starts now.
Gustav Time Remaining: 2 minutes
Truk: 6 minutes if you jump, 1 minute if you try to go back as you've already spent time looking for another solution.
(I swear that DC 2 Persuasion feels like such a bait for some reason. But I'll take it!)
Gustav finishes gauging the crowd, nods, to himself, and politely pats the more easy-going patron ahead of him. "My friend, if I may?"The aged cat gestures ahead of them in the line. "Not to be a bother, but mind if this old cat cuts ahead. There is a boat I much catch if I am to see family of mines, and time I am afraid is not on my side." He requests tentatively, or at least appearing to sound as much. He certainly hams up the act by taking off a rather simple bowler hat with an owl feather attached to it and making his eyes look all big.

The Human looks at you, and chuckles, offering you a bow, himself. Oh, by all means. I'm in no rush! I actually work here and am waiting to be officially here! And with how many people are here, I'm sure you can understand why I'm not exactly uh.. he pauses, looking for the right word.... get started? he ends, waving around to the massive crowd pouring in. Some sort of big event going on in the city or something. he says, finishing, allowing you to pass. Finally you notice his clothing does, in fact seem to make him an employee of this establishment.
The next person ahead of you is a gruff Dwarf 2, though relatively pleasant. He Hasn't noticed you're behind him yet. DC 8 Per check.

Era bounces about, throwing her things into her bag with little to no care in the world (they were going to the same place anyways, besides she had time to organize on the ship). "Well, if you sang out of tune I'd have to invest in getting you a singing coach, can't have my ears bleeding, now, can we?" She giggles, slipping on her Cloak of Many Fashions, the once brown and dull fabric now shifting into one of bright tropical colors. "And hey! You're gonna smell stinky with me, whether you like it or not!" She sticks out her tongue playfully and slips her bag on her side. "But flying may be better here, wanna test it out? The gathered people below all look up at the moment you cry out that you were 'coming down,' gasps and cries rise up from below as they watch your massive form literally sail through the air. The sill behind you shattering from the force. You manage to entirely bypass the crowd below in this amazing feat, even had you not, your warning cry would have made any who would have been in your way move. The guards watching with interest as you land awkwardly, and as you try to roll, you instead land your footing awkwardly, slipping to your side, as your knee and elbow crack harshly into the ground, suffering 10 damage before your body goes rolling in a fashion as if you had just jumped out of a moving car, rolling on your side atleast 12 additional feet.
A nearby Yuan-ti guard points and laughs, saying One sssso big such asssss heee must be addled of mind! To think he could fly like a bird, or land like a rogue! Hsasasaasasasa!
The rest of the gathered crowd gasp again as they watch on, before the entire place bursts out in laughter. The people inside the Tavern starting to pour out to see what caused such a spectacle, even the people in line.. making Gustav the next customer and saving him 4 additional minutes.
Truks limbs ache, but nothing was broken. The guards were too distracted by your performance to notice the property damage.
Burgee blinks and continues "talking" to Era, the sounds clearly not his own but the years of mimicking the crews he sailed with gave him a fairly normal sounding voice, though a careful ear could hear the breaks. His head was still groggy and if she had an action plan, it must be the thing to do. "Aye, flying. It will work. It will work." He reached out, to grab the hand of his friend then let out a squawk. He lifted his arms up and down as he lifted hers. The winds began to encircle the two and within moments they were both airborne. Burgee cawed with delight. "Burgee fly!" he shouted. "I'm the flag!" he added, recalling all of the times the sailors below would yell up at him You're the flag mate! You are the Burgee! Then he looked over at Era, "And now you fly!", he laughed. "The wind! Feel the wind, the wind will guide you," and he began to move over the city streets and toward their destination, with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.

Turk finally coming to a stop, not even noticing the few scrapes and bruises, see's that his careening skid/tumble has kicked up a rock that kinda looks like a snail. Cocking his head he says "Wish I had your shell" and quickly scoops up the rock. Looking around and thinking he see's Gustov (or maybe it's still a couple spots in his eyes) gives him a big goofy grin and a thumbs up and takes off for the boat.
Trying to be patient and not just plow everyone out of his way Turk is constantly saying "scuse me, make way, sorry, got a boat to catch, ohhh nice axe, sorry, make way,... etc"
Era could not help but giggle and laugh in glee as the pair soared through the skies, her cloak now dying itself to match the color of the blue skies (and similar to that of her skin tone), even her Shield of Expression seemed to be enjoying the fly over to the docks with a beaming smile, just as she had now. Era was all happiness and smiles, glad to have made such an intriguing little friend, and glad to finally be one step closer to finding her father.
"Burgee!" She smiles wide at him, and noticing that little twinkle in his eye made her stomach fill with butterflies. Her friends happiness meant the world to her. "If we find my dad, I'll ask him to make it possible for you to fly! Fly so that you don't have to use a spell! Would you like that? This is so much fun!"

Seeing the happiness in the young ladies demeanor raised Burgee's spirits even more and the laughter continued as the wind blue through his feathered head. Ah, the wind... and as Era posed the question about flight, he replied, in as soft of a sailors voice as he could recall, "Dear lass, nothing would give me more joy in this world." And he spread his arms, and the tails of his woolen coat flapped in the wind as he let out another laughing caw.

Era/Burgee: total of 15 minutes each.

(I swear that DC 2 Persuasion feels like such a bait for some reason. But I'll take it!)
Gustav finishes gauging the crowd, nods, to himself, and politely pats the more easy-going patron ahead of him. "My friend, if I may?" The aged cat gestures ahead of them in the line.
Persuasion(DC 2): 12.

((Still waiting on other posts! wake for the rest of the day, and work in 6 hours from the time of this post!)))

If we fall and die that's on you!"

Sailing through the air realizing the ground is coming much faster than expected I feel a force guiding my feet to land in a slightly better position than I originally had them.
Landing much harder than expected he looks around and says to no one in particular "Forecast calls for giant storms today. huhuh"
