Speak, says the mounted rider. And hold nothing back.
Galin hesitates and then speaks, stammering as he does so: There are strangers, come from Waterdeep. They said they came of their own choice, but they are the ones you spoke of, sent by the King. They have already set out north.
And has the envoy from Qetarin arrive? The rider doesn't seem interested in further news about the strangers.
N...no, Galin replies. Not yet. The scouts are keeping watch, but they are not due for another day at least. I should have the information you requested very soon. I...
The dragon growls a little at the word 'requested', and the massive head turns to start at Galin, who has stood up, but now seems ready to collapse. Tangle can tell that he is genuinely terrified, though that's hardly surprising.

Tangle doesn't even stop to think. Leaving her short bow and its arrow where it is on the ground (her longbow is still strapped to her back), she draws her sword and steps through a rent in reality appearing (hopefully) behind the rider on the dragon in brief burst of fire, where she proceeds to try to stab the rider in the back.
Bonus Action: Fey Step. Both dragon and rider (both within 5' of her step end) receive 1 point of fire damage. Move: Stand up (15'), step through (5') Action: Stab at the rider. 26 to hit, for 6 magical slashing damage

Round Two: Bazavur Rider Jalt and Tangle Dragon Soar
Bazavur runs toward where Tangle was, looks up at the dragon, now sixty feet away and far up in the air, and curses under his breath.
Tangle, the rider draws a shortsword and stabs at you twice: Attack: 22 Damage: 9 piercing plus 23 poison damage. Attack: 12 Damage: 7 piercing plus 16 poison damage.
The rider snarls in draconic, something that Tangle does not understand.
Jalt is up. Jalt, you see nothing but you heard the dragon take off.
Tangle is also up. Tangle, you are hanging by one hand, perhaps forty feet above the ground, though only a few feet above the trees, as the dragon flies north.

Tangle, make a fresh Stealth check.
(OOC > I don't know when I have been so nervous in a PbP game!)

Make sure you... the rider begins.
The dragon reaches a single claw out and grabs Galin; the elf is too stunned to resist or try to flee. The dragon moves to take off.
Will Tangle act? If so, Tangle can roll initiative. If not, then let me know.
Yes, Tangle will act… initiative: 6

Tangle, you see the dragon, about twenty-five feet away, grab towards the elf and then ready itself for flight.
What will you do?

This is re-rolling Tangle’s attack to account for the messed up DDB forum dice roller.

Tangle misses the rider, and misses her footing, but is agile enough to cling to part of the saddle as the dragon soars into the air.
You all see the dragon shoot up into the sky.
Roll initiative please.
