Henreid mutters to himself about how easily Lycosa is distracted when she catches opportunistic prey.
Using his aptitude as a forest hunter, Henreid sneaks further off the trail and quietly closes the distance between himself and the unknown camp. Crawling silently, he sneaks to within 50 feet of the camp, trying to spot clues, hear phrases, count & identify persons. He limits himself to a mental count of 60 seconds.
Henreid is silent but can not see again over the large tree roots he's hidden himself behind but the flickering of fire light on the upper branches hanging over the camp. He can oddly hear only the fire...no voices.
Striker gets easily distracted by a noise in the trees near the campsite. He reports this back to Saralyssa, it's an odd gnawing sound but he reports nothing else distracted by the sound.

"Some weird gnawing sound in the trees around the camp." Saralyssa informs the group. "Do we move forward?" She keeps her voice as low as possible, not wishing to give away their position if they have not been noticed as of yet.
Frustrated by his bad luck, Henreid decides not to risk another attempt. He sneaks back to the party hoping they've had better luck. "Have you ever known a party not to banter around a campfire? I didn't get much, but they're certainly not talking."

Malbor nods even though he had been distracted with cleaning some of the food from their meal out of his teeth. He gets into a stance and raises his Warhammer and shield into a fighting stance.
"Perhaps it's the search party?" Valar whispers.
