(ooc: yes Eldin is right, unlike the Magic Missile rule of making only one damage roll for all the missiles, with Scorching Ray you have to make an attack and damage roll for each of the rays, so you get 2 more attacks with the spell, each doing 2d6 fire damage... it's also possible for them to crit.)

Saw your PM. I think it's fair for Baral to not know the level of Counterspell that Kolopony is casting. He's casting a Counterspell and a Sleep spell at the same time and I doubt he'd have time to figure out that Kolopony is dropping a level 5 spell slot (which he could have used for Bigby's Hand). Even if I were allowed to declare my Counterspell to be level 5, I'll keep it level 3 and from the Ring of Spell Storing.

As if the very act of tampering with time one too many times led to consequences, things that should've played out one way instead go very, very differently....
Dorkas, after having blasted Eldin several times, ran up to engage Eldin in melee(1F)[Cont. of Round 3].
Baral then makes his appearance, attempting to put his fellow wizard to sleep. When that doesn't work however, a combination of extreme speed and tactical use of a broom perhaps even is made to get into gutting range of Koplony(1L). Hoping to take advantage of "weakened" defenses(reaction spent counterspelling attempt), Dorkas takes a swing....
Dorkas OA on Baral:(at Disadv. from Boots) Attack: 18 Damage: 9 non-magical slashing.
This just left Eldin. Who, like his partner, perhaps saw Koplony as the bigger threat, promptly raced over, scaling up one wall even to get into prime stabbing position(1N), and downing the wizard.
With that, Reality finally solidifies again. Unfortunate for all, the rotting smell of the gaseous compound is released soon after into the staging area/starting zone, obscuring all(Timmy included).
Dorkas, in perhaps almost desperation act goes to extraordinary lengths just to get close to where he last saw the fallen wizard. To that end, he climbed the nearby wall, and while within the thinnest portions of it, ran, leaped, and eventually climbed down just enough to feel around for Koplony. It is then in a surge of adrenaline that he fishes out a potion and feeds Koplony, as well as give some rousing speech to further strengthen the fallen... but not without paying a price for lingering in the hazard area.
Movement/Action: Move and dash to 1M(5ft up wall), climbing up and down the wall as necessary along the way.
Bonus Action: Rally on Koplony, granting 3 Temp HP.
End Turn Damage From Hazard: 30 Necrotic Damage. Con Save(DC 14) for half Damage: 8.
(S/N @All: For clarity's sake, the hazard area is treated as heavily obscured. Many all within it or look into the space are considered blinded regarding anything within it.)
