You are about to embark on a great adventure that pits heroes against giants bent on reshaping the world.

Characters should belong to an established faction in the Forgotten Realms (Harpers, Emerald Enclave, etc). Any up-to-date UA material is allowed for character creation, as well as any printed player options.

My one big requirement: Starting Characters must know each other and start play with a reason to be adventuring together.

Abilities: Point buy (or standard array) OR 4d6 drop lowest.

Advancement will be Milestone.

Dice rolling will done here using the "roll" function built in to the forum.

I only have a minute right now, but I would like to submit my character idea. His name is Jorji, and he is a forest gnome ranger.

Jorji once belonged to a tribe of forest gnomes that, like most, valued their anonymity above all else. Whenever they got discovered, they would just pack their bags and move deeper into the forest. Until one day, when a green dragon named Yisserys discovered them. The dragon's attack wiped out a third of his tribe, and it would have wiped out more had Jorji not pleaded with the dragon to spare the rest. Yisserys agreed, but on the ominous condition that he would return one day to collect a favor from Jorji.

After Yisserys left, the forest gnome tribe began its migration like they always did, but this time they left Jorji behind; the dragon would be returning for HIM, and that is not something they were willing to risk. Jorji then spent the next several decades living in the forest on his own, and became something of a defender of the small area he called home. His antics gave birth to a legend of a "spirit of the forest", a title which piqued the interest of the Emerald Enclave. The Enclave discovered Jorji and, admiring his talents, recruited him, giving him another family.

Nice! Jorji sounds cool and very tasteful.

I'm not going to make a character for this game, I am already playing SKT in filcat's game. (Ren the Air Genasi Mystic :)   ) But I was being nosey and Jorji sounds really awesome! I can't wait to read about his adventures. I'm also interested in seeing how a tiefling war cleric will play out too. lol Good luck, in saving the world. This is a hard game but it is a lot of fun!!! Best module they have put out so far and works really well as a PbP. 

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I was impressed with SKT and agree, it's a great set up for PbP.

I am thinking "milestone" for advancement, and would like to see a post a day, with a heads up if you'll be gone for multiple days.

Braddok, Human Fey-Pact Warlock (Pact of the Blade), Folk Hero

Braddok grew up in the northern pirating community of Luskin, along the cooler reaches of the Sword Coast. All was pretty much on track for an average life for a young man in such a town, until the day Braddok crossed paths with a weary traveler. It was a sleeting, stormy knight when the hunched figure had knocked on Braddok's door, looking for shelter from the in-climate weather, offering only a beat-up looking sword as payment. Braddok took in the stranger and entertained his guest for the night as the storm passed. In the morning the stranger was gone, but the sword remained. Braddok thought nothing of it for the longest time until the day that a young white dragon called Rimewing descended upon Luskin. Braddok had taken the old sword to the market that day to see if it could be cleaned up. There was lots of chaos and the power locked within it was released, giving Braddok the power to distract the dragon long enough for more capable forces to arrive and drive it away. Since then, Braddok has been something of a local hero, spending many nights among the taverns retelling the tales of his exploit. But even that gets old after a while. Braddok has gotten the yearning to go out and make a real name for himself elsewhere, maybe even finding the old stranger who granted him power through his enchanted blade.

Ok, so here's Seviari the Rouge

Abandoned on the streets when he was barely old enough to walk, Seviari was found by a local thief who brought him to the local thieves guild, where he was raised by the guild. Seviari was excellent at what he did, sneaking in and out of buildings with no one knowing he had been there. He was contracted out to be a spy for the Harpers, who later decided to make him a member due to his skillset. Seviari has since worked with the Harpers to make sure that equality and fairness rule across the forgotten realms, though he does still keep contacts in the thieve's guild and indulge in a little theft once in a while.

What would be the best way for me to show the completed character sheet? I did it here on the DDB character builder, so how do I share that?

 Good question. I'll start a campaign here on dndbeyond and invite y'all, and we can try things that way.

Working on Jorji's character sheet now. Since Forest Gnomes are not part of the free content, is it alright if I do just a regular form-fillable sheet and upload it?

Oh snap. Didn't realize they were that cheap. Alright, scratch that, I'll buy the Forest Gnome when I get home from work.
