Moving the grate takes awhile but the party succeeds. Exiting into the alley behind the wall to the Merchant's Ward. They sigh with relief now able to travel back to the Old City again by their own means. The night is still wet and has gotten colder than when this epic heist began. Kaz will certain pay up for this prize. The party just needs to return to the Red Lion with it.

“But no living man am I! You look upon a woman...You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
Quendar shakes out his cloak and smooths out his clothing, taking a moment to clean off any residual grime of the sewers (casts Prestidigitation to clean clothing).
"Well, this has been memorable if nothing else," Quendar says. "But the sooner we are free of this stone the better."
He heads off down the street on the most direct route to the Red Lion, looking his normal imperious self, but still shifting his eyes continuously for anyone that may be following them or laying in wait.
Morgana catches up to Q quickly, before he gets to far. "Mmh, do you mind, Quendar?" She gestures to her own clothes, a bit gross from raising the slick gate with the dark elf. "Help a friend out?"
She has lowered her facemask and hood, appearing now to be slightly less suspicious to potential onlookers.
Viv dismisses her illusory smog as they climb out of the sewer, prestidigitating herself as her cloak shifts back to the priestly design she had it in when she had to get Astryd out of trouble with the guards.
Following alongside the others she remarks, “I sure hope the boat is still running. Would be a shame to be caught short by something so mundane after all we’ve been through.” She looks down at her disguise, “I’m sure anyone stepping out of this alley would be seen as suspicious, and there’s a limit to even how much I can pull the wool over ones eyes. Would one of you mind checking if anyone is on watch, and if there’s any cafes, taverns or businesses we could feign visiting?”
Quendar wrinkles his nose at the sight of Morgana's dirty clothing, and then nods.
"Of course, my dear," he says in a low voice. "We make use of sewers when necessary but we should never give the impression that we belong there."
He moves his hand quickly above her clothing, making short work of the mess with prestidigitation.
Quendar listens for a moment to Vivi's suggestion and nods.
Without slowing his pace, he steps out of the alley, walking with quick long strides, but not too quickly, and keeps an eye open for a anything that's open nearby and if there is a tavern he heads straight towards it.
Returning to the Red Lion the party fines a grateful benefactor in Kaz and become official members of the Dregs. Kaz pays you in coin or favors and the party exits the Lion to go about their late evening. The Old City us bustling with business, some legal some not so legal and some downright dangerous. That's life in Zozobra the jewel of the coast.
