"You come get one alive Gramps, I ain't touching something like that."

He looks at the slimy grubs and says more to himself,

"Well I ain't touching it without something stronger to drink and preferably it at bottom of said drink."

He will attempt to capture one and hand it to Larry.

"This isn't some type of magic where they disappear and get replaced with something, right?"

((BB, give me a Perception check with advantage with Larry helping to spot and stomp them, and then a Sleight of Hand to catch one.))

The grubs are seemingly more focused on fleeing than exacting any revenge on you, though as BB grabs one, its hooked and toothed maw gnashing at him before he adjusts his grip suggests that they could. It bears some similarities to the grubs that were piloting the duergar at the tower, though smaller and less extreme in its morphology. Some of the trails descending into the dust of the surroundings would indicate that he and Larry missed a few in their stomping.

"Go get'm Larry. I will take this one over to Gramps."

BB does as he says.

"Here you go. It's a bit of a bitey bugger."

Offering the slug to Grampa.

Gramps carefully takes the grub from BB, and puts it in a vial from the packs on Black.

"Well done, thanks BB"

After which he tries to investigate it more closely.

BB preens a bit a the praise for catching a bug and looks back at the mess they made.

"Probably gotta figure the other group saw that."

"Probably.  Do we press the momentum or go back into hiding and see if they try to make a break for it?"

"Give me a break and I'm up for more squishing."

It reminds Gramps of a type of larvae that turn into rather large beetles when they are grown and are decent eating as larvae, wonder if they taste the same? Though these ones are more bitey, and a different color, and more reactive to being manhandled... they probably taste different, now that he thinks of it, they don't really resemble that beetle larvae that much at all.

While Gramps considers, BB scrapes bug guts off his boot on a rock and has a drink of water while shifting a bit.

"Think I got dust up in my..."

He spends some time adjusting his pants before grunting out,

"That'll do."

Gramps leave the grub in the vial, and puts it in the backs, having no clue about what it is. Before turning to the others

"So what now?"

"Give me an hour and let's go get those other ones."

BB suggests.

((The first group we met after we arrived, the spellcaster and a couple others got away and signaled to the group we just fought.))

((They retreated up into the remnants of the tower and mountain that you arrived on this plane of existence from, there was the spellcaster, an assortment of the skitterers, and I believe one of the creatures with multiple bladed arms left, you eliminated the massive fellas and the majority of the skitterers there. Besides falling back to the tower and trying to clear it out, you can also see the ruins in the distance that these reinforcements came from, though don't know how many foes may or may not still reside there.))

Seeing as he's the oldest Gramps takes the lead again

"Alright, before we check out those ruins; let's make sure all enemies here are taken care of. Let's take out the ones in the tower, but first, a quick rest seems to be the right move."

BB salutes sloppily and walks a bit off before finding a whatever he can sit on and chew a tablet of water and food.

"These actually don't taste that bad."

He says dribbling some tablet.
