I know their are a lot of responses so still hoping you are looking at applications. I have been looking for a PbP campaign to dedicate to. See my character below:
Name: Kipio Yellow-Foot
Ability Scores: Standard Array
Race: Kobold
Class: Druid (Circle of Spores)
Alignment: Lawful Good
Background: Haunted One
Backstory: Kipio belonged to a rare breed of kobold, a clan that served under a metallic dragon, rather than their chromatic counterparts. The dragon was named, Kyphon, who used the Yellow-Foot kobold clan as servants, caretakers and workers. Kyphon treated them fairly and with respect winning the hearts of mines of all the kobolds that served him, especially. Kipio. However, one storming night Kyphon's lair was attacked by two chromatic dragons (one blue and one black) and human spell-casters. Kipio and the Yellow-Foot clan did their best to protect their master's lair but were quickly dispatched with balls of flame and the flurry of claws. Kyphon himself was slain in front of the survivors being eaten by the two chromatic dragons. The human spellcasters conjured oozes to devour the survivors and destroy what remained of Kyphon's lair, and then departed. Kipio rallied the survivors to fend off the oozes but were quickly consumed. Kipio woke days later surprised to be alive. He was changed it seemed one of the oozes had bonded him with in some kind of symbiotic relationship granting him a small level of power. Kipio intends to use this power to seek vengeance on all of the chromatic dragons and the cults that serve them. There have been dragon sightings near the town of Greenest, that seems to be an excellent place to start.
To Kono_Light and others wondering if they should still apply: All applications submitted from now until March 19th are valid. My selection method will be to remove the ones I dislike, instantly select any really amazing stand outs, and to randomly select the rest based on the roles they can fill. Just because you are on a page after the first one does not mean you will not get in.
Born in Greenest to a smith, Eliakim was always bound to become one himself. From a young age he was curious about how anything worked. You could find him in the smith, and when he played hide and seek with his friends he often hid in a closet or something, with some new equipment he found to investigate the workings. He soon helped his father and mother in the Smith, first just giving them the right tools for the job, and later becoming proficient with Smith's tools himself he started to repair equipment that were brought in himself.
After years of practice he made himself some nice equipment so he could travel with the possibility of protecting himself. His wishes to travel came from curiosity, which extended beyond the non-magical equipment that most Smith's create. When he turned 20 he left greenest to Baldur's gate where he practiced with various guild master's. Some of these masters used magic in there works, and here Eliakim learned how he could channel magic through his tools and became an artificer. After a couple of years he was accepted to the Smith's guild of Baldur's gate.
During his years in Baldur's gate he found a room at the house of a Dwarven Cleric, Bolfric. As payment for the room Eliakim helped Bolfric with tasks at home, eventually leafing to a strong friendship between the two. Bolfric was a believer in Moradin, and showed Eliakim there ways. Eliakim became a believer himself and eventually learned how to channel the Faith's magic, learning some cleric spells from Bolfric.
After being accepted to the Smith's guild, Eliakim knew he had to go back home, at least for the time being, to help his parents in the Smith's workshop, which is why here he, a strong and agile man, chain mail showing the emblem of his guild and the holy symbol of Moradin around his neck; a quarterstaff and handaxe on his back, is walking along the Uldoon Trail.

My Experience: I have been dungeon mastering for about a year and a half, about five months of which has been play-by-post.
Submission Deadline: I will post a 24 hour warning for when I will close the recruitment.
Expectations: Ideally everyone would post at least once per day, but we are busy people, so I understand posting less than that. Hopefully everyone could manage at least five posts per week.
Please fill out the following application if you are interested in joining. Your starting level will be level 4. All official sources are allowed.
Name: Ability Scores: 4d6 drop lowest or standard array. You may switch to standard array if you dislike your rolls. Race: Class: We are searching for spellcasters, so please select from wizard, cleric, bard, or sorcerer. Alignment: No evil. Alternative Background Feature: The adventure comes with two alternative background features, and they are contained in the first spoiler below. If you would like one, indicate which one. If you do not want one, you can delete this part from your application. Backstory: You will be joining the characters on their quest to defeat the Cult of the Dragon. They are currently in Elturel, a holy city down the river from Baldur's Gate. To easily merge into the group, being recommended by one of two allies the characters trust or being a member of the Harpers, the Emerald Enclave, or the Order of the Gauntlet would be best.
Cult of the dragon infiltrator: You have infiltrated the ranks of the Cult of the Dragon. Having spied on the organization for quite some time, you are familiar with its inner workings and customs. You have a second identity as an initiate of the cult, enough of a facade to blend in as a simple grunt or servant.
Dragon Scholar: You have studied dragons and their lore for many years. You can automatically identify locations built or used by dragons and can identify dragon eggs and scales by sight. If you fail an intelligence check to recall lore relating to dragons, you know someone or some book you could consult fir the answer, unless the DM rules that the lore is unknown.
