Kosef reaches, lunges, at the kobold attacking Kipio, skewering it with his bonus action. He sees Valas's face and pauses for a moment himself, remembering, but then a stone whizzes past his ear.
If he can move 30 feet and reach the kobold who attacked him, he will: 24 to hit, for 12 damage. (Bonus action, if necessary: 11 to hit, for 11 damage.)
If he can not reach the kobold who attacked him, he will set the sword down in the street and try his light crossbow: 6 to hit, for 3 damage.
As Kipio's attacker is skewered before him, he jumps back in an effort to not get caught in the human's blade. Kipio drops his scimitar, conjuring a yellow flame in his right palm. He hurls the ball of flame at the remaining kobold(s).
(OOC: If any kobolds are left at the end of the round...)
Valas snaps out of his brief distraction after a moment and looks to smack any kobolds that are still breathing with the pommel of his sword, hoping to be able to ask it a few questions later.
Evendur, impressed with the fierce efficiency of his brave companions quickly closes with the last kobold, placing his blade to it´s throat.
"Your comrades are all dead, kobold, surrender or you will join them" in draconic. Intimidation 9
Then louder in common "We should keep one alive, we must know what is happening here" hoping that the kobold drops his sling and that his companions doesn´t slay him if he does.
(If I´m not mistaken we would be able to reach the sling-wielding kobolds and Kendes would have dropped one of them right before Evendur acts. Otherwise Evendur will just use his intimidation from some distance.)
Kendes misses a kobold with his spear. The kobold is about to mock him, when Kendes second blow hits, felling the creature. Evendur attempts to scare the last kobold into surrendering. His words (and all the lifeless comrades, especially the headless one) frighten the kobold, but they fail to fully convince it to surrender. The kobold instead runs away as fast as it can.
The kobold will take the dash action on its turn. Since Evendur is the second in the initiative order, Kipio and Valas can still hit the kobold as it tries to flee. Kosef would miss if he chose to attack.
(Would Evendur be able to make an attack of opportunity as the Kobold did´n´t use the disengage action? In that case he would strike him with the flat of his blade to knock him out. Attack: 10 Damage 11) (Never mind :-P)
Kipio does not kill the kobold whether he still chooses to attack or not, and it is Valas' intention to knock the kobold out, so I will just continue with the assumption that Valas has knocked the kobold out.
The kobold collapses to the ground, unconscious. The woman with the spear approaches you. "Thank you. If you five had not intervened, we would likely have died. But we are still in danger. My family and I were trying to reach the keep. It is the only safe place left in this town." She looks at the unconscious kobold with disgust, and says "You should kill the creature." She picks up one of her children with one hand, and looks back at the rest of you, waiting for you to follow.
"We will escort you to safety fair lady, mighty Torm will protect us, the little ones can travel on Bayard my loyal steed if that is your wish"
Evendur grabs the unconscious kobold by the neck and places him on the back of his steed, suddenly remembering he left his squire Randal on the road, and hoping he will find his way to safety as well. He then helps whoever wants to travel on Bayard and follows the woman.
Kipio looks at the kobold as it is placed on the steed. “The woman is right you know. A kobold’s allegiance is incredibly strong. It won’t show remorse or mercy if it’s serves a chromatic dragon.”, he says looking around at the party.
Kendes returns to the others, uneasily cleaning off his spear. "I... I hate to say this, but Yellow-Foot is right. Kobolds are cunning and loyal to their pack above all else. I don't think you'd get any information out of him that you couldn't from these townspeople, except perhaps the name of that dragon. And he would try to escape. I'm not sure it's worth it to put the survivors of Greenest in danger for the faint hope of squeezing information out of him." He surveys the carnage, feeling somewhat mollified at having saved the woman's family. The blood still pounds in his ears, though, and the feel of the spear piercing into the kobold's small body haunts him. "Let's... move from this place, and quickly."
"Yes," Kosef says, "let's get to the keep." He watches the sky, hoping he doesn't see the green dragon, as he takes a cloth from a pocket on the side of his backpack. Kosef cleans his sword, without looking down at it, as he follows the others. "Are we sure we have to kill the kobold we captured?" He looks to Kendes and Kipio. "Are they really that loyal?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thank you, sir," the woman says to Evendur as she lifts her children on to the horse. She then heads to her husband's side to support him as he limps along. "The keep is this way."
As you make your way along, you hear the voices of raiders. 4 kobolds and 4 humans are up ahead. They have not seen you yet.
Valas was silent as the others discussed the kobold prisoner and the keep. As they set off in that direction he mumbles "what?" "Oh, yes..." Seemingly lost in thought and glancing at the blood on his blade the elven warrior followed the others in silence.
Paying more attention as the group slows when nearing more potential foes, Valas would attempt to take a peak at what lies ahead.
"Well done, my brave companions, we will deal with the kobold when we reach the keep. Keep watch! There could be other servants of the dragon lurking about"
But Evendur doesn´t heed his own advice.
(OOC:I will go with Evendur not even noticing our new enemies, because of the dim light, his own dimness out of combat and his attention to the "fair lady". He would only spoil any chances of surprise so go ahead and knock yourselves, or rather them, out).
Hearing the conversation ahead, Kendes rushes forward quickly but as silently as he can, trying to catch the group by surprise before Evendur announces their entrance.
He knows sneaking is not what he does best, but Kosef will try to follow Kendes and Valas in seeking to surprise: 12. He crouches and looks for dim spots in the street, holding his sword low, so he is between it and the voices, trying to keep it from reflecting any bright light.
He continues to watch the sky, especially for big, dark, lizard-shaped silhouettes, but he also watches for the keep.
Seeing the others sneak forward, Kipio steps next to the unconscious kobold in case it decides to wake. Kipio conjures a flame, readying it in case a fight breaks out.

Valas, Kendes, and Kosef creep forward towards the raiders. The kobolds are eagerly stuffing gold into a bag with little care for what goes on around them, but the human is less distracted.
Perception: 12
The raiders fail to notice anyone.
OOC: If you guys are going to attack, you can get surprise (to make clearer, Valas, Kendes, and Kosef get surprise, though Kipio's spell is readied and can be cast as a reaction if a fight starts)
Kendes brings his spear to bear, knowing just how difficult kobolds can be if they have a chance to coordinate. He attacks the closes distracted kobold, gritting his teeth in determination, and follows up quickly with a fist to the kobold next to it. His blood is pounding so much from sinking his spear into the first kobold, however, that his fist swings wild and completely misses.

(OOC: Does the human look like a spellcaster, mercenary, etc.? Thanks)
Valas is hesitant but when Kendes moves in his instincts kick in and the elf quickly dashes to the human to try to take him out with a non-lethal blow. He sizes up this individual to see if he looks like a spellcaster or not.
Attack: 8 Damage: 8(non lethal if allowed here)
