ooc: Kallandra has two horses and she alternates between them.
As they ride on, Kallandra eyes the newcomer's bow with undisguised admiration. Then a thought occurs to her and she pulls out a book, reads a couple of pages. She then pulls out her own bow and mutters a few words, her fingers moving in an arcane gesture. The bow glows, briefly, and flickering orange-yellow that quickly fades. She repeats this a few times, varying the words or the gestures or both. However, the glow never lasts long, though the colors do change a bit each time.
Finally, she puts the bow away, makes copious notes in her book, and puts it away too.

Turning back to Umeven, she says, "That's a fine bow. You're skill is worthy of it, I'm sure. Do you enjoy archery?" There's no mistaking the interest in her voice.
“What is there to tell? If you heard of him, you know that he was adventurer much like myself. His name is know throughout the land,” says Brock as he sits down in the back of the wagon.
Umeven makes a gesture of abashed humility. “Oh, I dabble with a bit of archery. It’s a pleasure to shoot, and - those are zombies. Those right there. Zombies. In the wagon… is this on purpose?”
Yashin replies to Umeven with a broad grin as he clambers back into the wagon bed “Probably on purpose, don’t know if Zombies can be created by accident, you will have to ask him, they are his pets” pointing a wide thumb toward Grishkar “But as far as traveling companions go they are better than some, they don’t talk much and keep to themselves.” The big Goliath crams his large frame into the corner of the wagon and leans against his pack, trying to get as comfortable as he can for the journey ahead.
"Zombies implies undead, and I stand my ground that these are just poor lepers. Have they taken a bit of a devil-may-care attitude with their condition? A bit, yes. Is it bad for their bodies to act as such? Certainly. However, who am I to say they cannot live their lives as they choose. I am simply a protector and shepherd." Anticipating potential follow-up, Grishkar pats his horse on its bare skull, "And this, well...this is what happens after a horse breaks its leg. Bone heals fine, but it gets a nasty case of gangrene. Still a fighter, though."

”Does that explanation actually work with people? I think you might want to work on a plan B. Like… I don’t know… call it indentured servitude to pay off tax evasion costs of those who escaped justice by dying before their debts could be collected.”
Grishkar shrugs with a smile, "I don't usually hear much complaint. Most people are terrified of death, and disease is much the same but more common. When they hear of gods-forsaken lepers, they want to offer pity without getting close. For the more persistent, I can be very persuasive."

Kallandra snorts with laughter. "I'm no fan of necromancy...though, not opposed to it either, come to think on it. Just not for me though. No, I'm remembering that half-orc merchant, what was it, Grishkar, two days ago? Three? Goddess above, I don't think I've ever seen horses harnessed so quickly before in my life!" She doubles over with laughter.
“I think needs must when the devil drives might be just a bit too on the nose.” Umeven laughs a bit at this.“My lord would not have put me next to you unless it were necessary. Now, what’s this about seeking after some… what was it? A thing? An object of value?”
The laughter falls flat on the dark-robed Wizard, "I don't suppose I know. Probably before I joined you."

Kallandra's mirth doesn't end but it does subside as she eyes the wizard with a bit of sadness. "Ah, Grishkar, I'd been hoping you weren't as dead as your horse and minions. I distinctly remember the merchant muttering about your undead horse. Well, not all hopes are fulfilled." She turns away to talk to study their surroundings.
Once back on the road again, you continue to the South and West. The travel in the trollclaw hills is more difficult than the main road, with this path going up hills, down steep slopes, and curving around some of the larger hills for many miles. Even so you make good time, pushing your mounts well into the evening hours. Eventually you stop for rest though.
Please tell me watch order, what preperations you make for your camp, and anything else you wish to do as you prepare to take a long rest.
Ssej would be looking an an easily defensible position preferably on a slight rise with a natural boundary to their backs to set up camp. Then without a word would go about preparing dinner especially if along the way he finds any deer stupidly wandering by.
Perception: 14 for camp.
Survival: 14 for finding food.
"I can take firsst watch." He says to the group as he hands out the food.
Umeven will assume his meditative state for the first four hours and then move about to in a patrol pattern of the camp for the rest of the night. His owl-ish goggles are not as useful at night, but his ears are still sharp. Perception 20

ooc: That's actually Kallandra's watch :)
Kallandra frowns a little as the newcomer tries to horn in on her customary choice, but still, two pairs of eyes and ears. "I'll take my usual second watch after I trance. I'm sure between the 2 of us, Umeven and I will keep you all safe." She turns to Ssej. "What's for dinner tonight?"
Looking up at Kallandra with a grin, "Depends on what you want to hear...It sure looks like a good piece of venison steak so lets just say that is what it is. Either way, it should taste good, though, I do kind of prefer my meat raw."
And he goes back to cooking, his tail slightly quivering.

Yashin helps set up camp, then makes himself comfortable near the fire, laying back on his pack and listening to Brock’s music “Another fine song. Forget adventuring, you could make your way as a bard, playing up and down the coast.”
Yashin will take the second watch, after Ssej, then pass it on to Umeven and Kallandra. Perception: 15.
"No, as I much I enjoy singing, I like hearing stories more. Someday I would like to go into a tavern and hear the hush whispers of all saying my great deeds... But it may be a long time before I receive that type of recognition," says Brock slowly putting his lute back into bag.
" 'Isn't that Tork's son. Heard is adventure like his father, He's got big shoes to fill.' Bah all of them. Stop comparing me to my father and start seeing me as me. I'm still a young lad and I have had a great career," says Brock. Based on his tone and actions it seems like he is actually really mad about this subject.

Before turning in fot the evneing Brock pulls out his lute and plays a song.
