Yashin drives the wagon in the center of the party, just behind the lead riders, with Brock joining him. With two horses pulling and another two trailing to switch out with later as needed, they are set to make good time.
He nods at Ichika's remark and gives her a smile "I like a good competition. Now we are in a race that I am hoping we can win. Who knows what we will find in the deserts of the south"

Brock seats on the wagon playing songs he remember to his companions, but his shield and staff are in easy reach if something were to go awry. Brock likes having fun, but he is a battle harden Dwarf first of all.
Aio's initially thought he'd have little in common with the dwarf, and many of his references such as where they put 'the stick' went over his head, but the elf soon found himself amused by the stout one's antics.
Upon their departure he asks Brock "perhaps you could scout ahead with me, or burrow us a safer path?" He then rides ahead on his sleek white riding horse, leaving his second newly purchased horse tied trailing the wagon. As he pulls ahead to join Valor in taking the lead the elf whistles softly and snaps his fingers and an owl appears out of nowhere. "Go and watch the road ahead for me" he says before the owl takes off and begins flying in zip zag patterns watching either side of the road a few hundred feet above the party and five hundred or so feet ahead.
(Aio will ride in the front with Valor and any others.)
Senna will ride just ahead of the wagon most of the time watching her new companions and trying to learn about their abilities. Therefore taking great interest in the times Kerah transforms into an eagle.
When they are in an open territory and see can see a good distance Senna will feel secure enough to take the newly received gemstone out of the pouch and inspect it a little bit closer to try and get a feel of its magic.
Yashin pushes the horses at a steady pace with a group of extra mounts trailing behind the wagon. He quickly finds himself humming along with Brock's performance. "That is a fine song, a very catchy tune. Where did you learn to play, do you have a bit of bard in your blood?" He smiles and his green eye flashes with mirth. "It's good to have some traveling music to keep up the pace."
Outside his normal routine, Valor will contend himself with going over any plans he may form in his head and observing his traveling companions. He will pat Seraph occasionally to reassure his mount.
"Go on ahead, your dead body will give us plenty of warning that something is wrong," the Dwarf says jokingly to Aio.
"Ahh just something I picked up in my travels. I been apart of the adventuring life since I was a wee lad. My Dad was an adventure as well, met all sorts of folk and they taught me many things. Though I'm not a classically train musician a bard friend of my Dad said I had a good ear. Most of what I know are tavern songs though," he says as he strums a few more notes. Before stashing the instrument away in his bag.
"I could also tell you tales of some of my travels if you like. Though they may be biased and embellished, it is all true, " he says with a smile on his face.

How do they expect to surprise any enemy on the road with all that chatter not to mention the singing...This is why I like to travel alone as I can quietly pass through the world with no one the wiser. Ssej wonders and then looks over his shoulder at the group. Then again, they do seem a very capable group and very confident in their abilities, guess I will find out when we encounter the first thing that attempts to eat us.Which reminds me I am getting a bit hungry.
Ssej will start to look along the road while traveling looking for a quick snack. Suddenly he leaps form his mount, startling it, as spectral black draconic wings unfurl from his back as he sails 50' through the air landing in a roll and sprinting after something small and grey into the bushes. After a bit of thrashing the bushes part and he comes out tearing a chunk out of the carcass of a dead rabbit getting and climbs back onto his mount. A trail of bright red blood streaking down out of his toothy maw, the crunch of bones splitting the silence.
Ssej will turn back to the group, "I will keep an eye out for a defenssible place to sstop for the night when the time comess."
Ssej growls in response, "Ruffians is not what I am concerned about. The larger creatures that travel at night that will want to snack on the horses is what concerns me. Though I have no doubt we can easily defend ourselves, why make it easier for them."
"I am but a humble elf, my stout friend, but if you are to force it out of me... I am the eldest of my house and the champion of the elves of the newly reestablished Elven Court in Cormanthor. My father led our people to reestablish our foothold there as we aim to retake the wood and Myth Drannor from the evil that still festers there. This is his sword, my inheritance, along with the duty to lead our warriors against the darkness. I have trained a squad of our finest warriors and spellcasters to combine our skills in battle, working as one, but I suppose now they will have to carry on without me. Before this group erupts into chaos in the encounters sure to come, we should seek to achieve the same synergy, lest we simply flail about with sword, spell...and bite, it would seem."
“Humble, indeed” Yashin snorts. “I don’t have much to tell. I was touched by storm and thunder, it was even rumored that a bolt of lightning struck my shelter at the moment of my birth, giving me my name Shatterstone. That is the story they told at any point. My clan, fearing what they didn’t understand, rejected my magic and cast me out in exile at a young age. Talos offered me refuge and purpose, as he does to so many others in the storm. I became one of his priests, spreading his word and doing his will wherever I can.” He gives a wicked smile “Although all too often, people fail to make tribute or pray to him for delivery until the wrath of the storm is already upon them” He shrugs and looks to the others riding near “I am sure that others among us have much better stories”
Ssej initially ignores the question but then looks around the group once more, "I have known no other life but being a sslave at the handss of the Red Wizardss, until I broke free. SSince that day I have been sstalking and killing any member of the Red Wizardss ssince."
Senna listens to the others as they explain what they used to do and how they have come to be here.
I am a captain in the Order of the Gauntlet. She holds the badge of the Order in her hands and moves it around between her fingers. , I have served them for as long as i remember, they are my family.
The order seeks out any evil groups. She looks to Ssej, Whether they are slavers or those demanding payment from the innocent she says as she moves her gaze to Yashin.
Looking to the sky Senna remarks We should be looking for a place to camp soon, our horses are getting weary and nightfall will be upon us soon.
"I can respect that." Ichika smiles, laying her glaive evenly on her lap. “My father, on the other hand, never cared for brawling."
"He believed us as practitioners of martial arts, should first pay attention to our inner virtues, and never let pride and arrogance blind our judgement.” She lowers her eyes, slowly tracing the carving on her glaive, “Our people who study martial arts learn to put down their weapons before they pick them up, for brave lies in the suspension of hostilities. We learn to fight to serve our nation and defend our land, not for aggression or invasion. Never raise your weapon against someone who does not deserve it, and never put it down in the face of danger, for there’s always people behind your back.”
“I started my training when I was seven. It was the wisdom that said, ‘put a sword in a farmer’s hand and he will swing it like a threshing fork, for farming is what he knows; put a sword in a child’s hand and it will teach him how to swing it as a weapon, for the child knows no other way.’ Many soldiers were lost on the front lines with T’u Lung, and the border of war has been pushed back and forth for decades.”
“Some battles were won, and some battles were lost. It had always been my hope to serve under my father, and when I finally did, it turned out to be the last battle we fought together. He never wished me to join the war, and wanted me to go back and resume my duties at the shrine - but I hardly believed being a shrine priestess was what Chan Cheng had intended for me. Somewhere out there had to be deeds of valour and honour even greater than the victory at Gamani.” She says with a wink, “So here we are.”
After Ssej speaks, Aio tosses Brock a single silver. "My coin was on 'greatest squirrel hunter in all of Faerun'."
After several of the others speak, Aio speaks up. "Ha, do not tell me you each are the chosen of the gods because you are simply a Captain, a priest, a member of the Watch, or a soldier. You must each have a number of great deeds in your past." He circles his horse around and rides up next to Ichika "I bet you have spilled more than your share of blood with that glaive, and as you described, for good reason."
Catching the coin Brock says, "I don't remember making a bet, but if your handing out money. I'll tell a story. I am an adventure been so for about thirty years. Wanted to be one since my Dad has been one for many years. Some of you may have heard of him, Tork Ironhide. I have done many things, defeated many foes, and see many evils. I want to bring order to our world and see a wee bit of thanks for doing it, but my Dad's long career has left a pretty big pair of boots to fill. But I don't think he can claim he saved the world." He pockets the coin and looks toward the the horizon.
Ichika turns to regard Aio, and returns him a sincere smile, sharing the same sentiment towards the elven warrior.
“When I first start practicing,” Ichika says, “the red tassels on the polearm was used as a ‘ruler’. It is soft and sensitive enough to the force, so that if the wielder swings it in a different direction than the strength of the polearm, the tassels will swing the other way.”
She smiles, glances at the gleaming sword on Aio’s hip, before turning back and continuing, “So I can understand the mastery and tenacity required to wield a much more precise and intricate sword such as yours. Much more practice, I would imagine, too.”
“I hope your people will be able to reclaim your land at the end.” She says warmly.

"But in your grief I fear you may not carry on with the mission" replies Aio to Brock.
"Concerned that some ruffian may take your... tooth?" asks Aio of Ssej, looking at his dagger. "Do not despair, I will protect you, brave hunter."
Ssej growls in response, "Ruffians is not what I am concerned about. The larger creatures that travel at night that will want to snack on the horses is what concerns me. Though I have no doubt we can easily defend ourselves, why make it easier for them."
As the day moves along Brock asks his traveling companion, "So what did you do before trying too save the world? Must have been a bit interesting."
