"I'm sure it wouldst goldie..." The dark tiefling says with a good-natured grin, looking over at Auric. "...what do you say, a reinvigorating overnight sojourn?" He then quietly asks the feral looking girl that had slinked into his lap while generously feeding her some juicy meat. "I think I have everything I need right here." He says with a toothy grin to no one in particular as his sharp teeth tear into another chunk of nicely grilled pork. "Settle down friends, there's plenty of pork to go around, together we defeated this tasty manifestation of Talos' destructive wrath, no small feat if you ask me, and that should be celebrated." He continues between bites, looking around at the ones still standing about. The only thing missing was a good wine he realized. He had come better prepared on his next mission.
(Nepharios is pretty roughed up and since we are in no hurry I think he wouldn't mind the long rest before venturing into those caves, he'll go along with a short rest though if that is the will of the majority :-)
"If we are going to camp I reckon that over in those woods would be better than on this hilltop. Who knows if our recent um activities may have attracted some attention"
"You are absolutely right half-elf, with the thunder everyone within miles knows something bad happened up here, but if there's anyone below prepared to face us I think we would have seen them by now."The dark tiefling says with a shrug. "I'm sure we'll probably be safer here than in the woods anyway." He adds, taking another juicy bite of grilled pork.
Shock! Horror! After that electrocution, Hansel has patches of hair sticking out funny and that refuse to stay in place... It's an emergency! There's no time to waste! He needs his beauty sleep, and he would rather have it right here, right now on the hill than go traipsing into the woods...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
After gaining her vision and hearing back, Fae opens her eyes. She brings herself to her feet, making her way closer to the gathered group. While the others discuss options and preferences, she takes her turn grabbing a helping of the boar before taking a seat nearby. “While I’m not out of magic reserves, I wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to refresh and be at my best.” The wizard agrees to settling in for a long rest. “I imagine some of us may want to look our best for the Ball.” She looks to Hansel.
Prrt. Nova bounces in excitement to accept an offered bite. She purrs steadily from the comfortable seat and continued source of yummy food being fed to her. Hips wiggle in anticipation for her next bite, then she sways while savouring enjoying each mouthful. The druid had no complaints to rest here longer.
Once done her meal, Fae would whistle then click her tongue. Soon her raven familiar would come the forest. Feeding it some seed rations, she’d send Edgar off to inspect the caves while others rested. The wizard’s eyes ink over black as she channels looking through her familiar’s.
The raven would return, dropping something off after inspecting each cave. First (C2), the vial containing syrupy liquid that looks like liquefied iron comes rolling to a stop at someone’s feet. Next (C3) comes a blue sapphire with a glowing centre. Then finally (C4) the blue sapphire with a glowing centre.
(When someone takes time to identify the items)
- Potion of Invulnerability - Elemental Gem, Blue Saphire - Necklace of Adaption
Between bites of his own, the dark tiefling playfully and sometimes teasingly keeps feeding the feral girl, reaching for his water skin to share a drink too. "Impressive." He says with a plain nod as he watches the raven return with shiny things from the caves below, and he realizes that he could have sent Nebulous to do that, but he didn't really feel like squabbling with the barely loyal imp about how it should serve it's master without questions, so it could better sit in the confines of it's pocket plane, hopefully being grateful to come out and play the next time. "I have a little friend that can do the watching for us, has worked for me when I have been alone in the wilds for many yesr now." Nepharios says confidently, not seeming worried about keeping any watch. Whatever would be decided regarding this he would order Nebulous to keep watch over the group as they rested on the small hill.
Hansel is curious about the 'little friend', but a little bothered to learn that it is an imp, and that Nepharios considers it to be subservient. The Sunite cleric had little experience with denizens of the Lower Planes, but had been taught that the devils bent mortal desires, love and passions to evil ends, and some demons exercised twisted perversions of love and intimacy. So he sleeps somewhat less soundly, noticeably more nervous about Nebulous and Nepharios than normal.
(Hansel has no strong attraction to any of the magic items for their properties, other than as ornamentation. They might be good to save for a dragon battle.)

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
KD settles in, nibbling at the bacon, and comforting Hal who seems like he wants to try some, but thinks better of it. She sits next to Fae calmly, taking things in. Then, nodding at the newcomer and Fae's raven...
"Your two friends and Hal here can watch each cave entrance while we rest, if that makes sense to all. Still want to keep a watch among us. I'd guess there isn't much inside, the whole crew seemed like it was up here for the summoning party,"she says. "Can someone remind me of what we're looking for here? I think my logic got shocked out of me."
"I'm not sure about you people but I came her to put an end to the nasty summonings they had up here. I would consider my mission here completed and I'm heading back to Phandalin in the morning to collect my reward. I wouldn't mind having your company a bit longer though if you are in need of a monster hunter that hell itself spat out."The dark tiefling says with a grin.
(Nepharios is not quite ready to reveal anything more about his unseen friend just yet, Neb is still invisible and flutters around lazily, snatching some juicy bacon for himself. :-)
"Yes, well I suppose I should split it with all of you now." The dark tiefling says, scratching his neck. "As long as I get enough for an evening of drinking and good company." He adds with a grin. "There are always more adventures for the likes of us."
Content with being fed and watered, and having no problem playing with her food, Nova purred heavily. She'd enjoy her fill, eventually lulling herself to sleep where she was while the group discussed watches, rewards and next steps. She'd wake later to complete the harvesting of the boar, or at least could be woken up as desired.
Fae would dip her head in agreement with KD's suggestions. "I agree the companions could keep an eye in each direction as needed." She notes. "Though I believe we have achieved the goal of the mission." The threat of anything else was quite small now that they eradicated the Anchors of Talos and their present purpose. It takes years for that kind of preparation. It was always good to be cautious though.
Violet hues look up to meet Nepharios'. "If I'm not mistaken that mission was posted by Falcon the Hunter and his apprentice awaits in Phandalin with the reward to whomever succeeds." Fae then gestures with her chin towards the boar at his side. "I suggest that proof be taken back for turn in." The wizard then looks back to her various books within her reach. "I'll be finalizing my records of the events and this space to accompany the proof prior to bedding down for the night." Her spellbook rests upon her lap with a sketchbook currently open on top of it.
Fae pauses from her sketchbook on her lap to turn back a few pages within her notebook which lay open at her side. "Phandalin was the midway stop before heading in the direction of the Dragon's Burrow, where dragon slaying treasures are rumoured to lie." She moves her finger down on the page. "Hansel found an invitation to a Masquerade Ball in Neverwinter. It was discussed to head there along the way as well."
As Fae mentions bringing back proof of their deed, the dark tiefling gives the sorry remains of the talosian boar a worried look. The girl was right of course, some sort of evidence of completion would likely be required to get that precious reward, he could only hope what was left in the morning would still suffice, the meat was just too tasty to not be feasted upon though and it stirred the dark tiefling's more beastial aspect in a most pleasant way. When the girl with the violet hues mentions dragon slaying treasures, the dark tiefling perks up again, listening attentively. "Never been to a fancy Masquerade Ball before, if you would have me along I suppose I could simply come as myself." He says with a grin. He had never much cared for nobility but he had occasionally invited himself to banquets to help himself to the good food and even better wine often served there, he hoped this ball would not be an exception.
Nepharios would eventually get up to see to his dark steed nearby, unpacking his bedroll and returning to the impromptu campsite, sleeping heavily after instructing the still unseen Nebulous to keep a vigilant eye on the caves and the surrounding forest as his master had his well deserved rest.
Listening to the ongoing conversation as he prepares for bed, Auric smiles and relaxes, grateful for his companions recent and less so. He lays his head down and sleeps.

Hansel refrains from peering over at Fae's notebook, but instead pulls a slip of parchment from an inside breast pocket of his tunic. In fact the ball is to be held in Phandalin, in the town green. Neverwinter was recommended as the nearest place to shop for suitable attire. He looks around at the battle-weary group and sighs: If only I could take you shopping in Waterdeep! The boutiques and salons, the couturiers and clothiers! Ah, what a display we would bring to Phandalin! But Neverwinter shall have to do. And with that Hansel also lays down to get some beauty sleep, dreaming of fashion and finery.

"I'm not sure what kind of suitable attires you expect us to afford there blondie but whatever reward is left for me in Phandalin I would expect it to barely suffice for the wine I would need to keep me going until my next mission."The dark tiefling says with a grim chuckle before settling in for the night.
Waking up fairly early, Nepharios would get a fire going and see to his dark steed, his sharp teeth chewing down some leftovers from the battle last night for breakfast, then gently waking up the feral druid at his side. Soon he would be ready to ride back to Phandalin, offering to take Nova on the back of his horse unless she preferred to slither into town ;-) He was hoping the reward awaiting him would be enough for an evening at the local tavern at least.
