Blitz doesn’t even make it to the door of the tavern as soon as he hears Zeeks words Blitz does a 180 and walks right up to Zeek obviously angered at what he was implying. As Blitz is speaking you notice his hand is crackling with Electricity
“I’m giving you this one chance to take back what you said but, you do not insult my family name. We are not just common folk who go around sleeping at these brothels.” Blitz says this word like he has a foul taste in his mouth. “We are a house that pursues the arcane arts; none of this divine nonsense. Now if you’d excuse me I’d very much like to get out of this rain that you insist on standing around and speaking in.”
While Blitz and Zeek face off a carriage arrives pulled by two fine gray horse. The driver pulls up on the reins stopping it feet away from the party still gathered the front of the Take. The old man with the cart quickly moves on grumbling about the weather to himself and about strangers as the carriage door opens. Then without a moment's pause another human man gets out. He stands facing the group dressed in fine clothing. You recognize him immediately as Nasser and his expression looks odd mix of curiosity and disappointment.
"Problem gentlemen," Nasser asks eyeing Blitz and Zeek. Nasser speaks with a lofty, well-breed tone of voice (imagine a Norwegian accent). His articulation might be grating for some as a show of wealth but others it clearly defines his social station and education.
"The badger? a title earned from combat ferocity I assume, I find your lack of fur and claws would make such a name a misnomer eslewise" he chuckled politely at Ranlas response to his greeting
Folk looked a bit confused and concerned as he saw his compatriots getting ready to through down over the perceived insult to Blitz Thunderbrands name. He tried to calm everything down in an attempted to act as an intermediary but he was thankfully saved from this by the arrival of Nasser. Folk looked to Nasser with a relieved smiled and spoke genially "you have excellent timing, I do believe we were hoping to get started soon"
In a concialiatory tone, Zeek says to Blitz: "A man easily angered is a man easily manipulated. I meant no slight". Without awaiting a reply, he turns around to face Nasser, curious as to what the odd person that chose to dress so ostentatiously wealthy, yet decided to serve others would have in store for them.

"Let's say a little bird told me you seemed to be rooted when you should be moving," Nasser replies to Folk with a foppish sigh. "As for shows of anything," he adds next looking to Thunderbrand, "how about a show of abilities to complete my task not argue with your compatriots," he says before turning to Zeek. "A man of healing arts should know wounded pride is still a wound," he says curtly before approaching Ranla and back to Folk. "Curious to stand in the rain arguing when there's work to be done," he says leading the party now away from the Take and towards the tavern where the bulking human smoking a pipe moves out of Nasser's way without hesitation. Nasser is not watching if your following him inside the tavern, he assume you know better. "I should require a room with ale and privacy," he adds if your behind him. He then tosses a purse to the bulky man who snatches it from the air and nods at Nasser.
"Greta we have preferred guests," the bulky man then bellows over his shoulder to an open archway where a hearty looking older human woman with brown hair emerges with a towel in one hand and a pint glass in the other she's drying.
"Back rooms empty," Greta replies her eyes darting around the faces of the party as your enter behind Nasser who walk forward as if he knows where he's going.
The bulky man rushes ahead of Nasser passed a hearth open in the floor where a sheep turns on a spit. The bulky man goes through a wooden door where he quickly pull tables together. He pushes a slumbering drunk from a chair and then pulls the man out of the room still unconscious by his ankles!
"I'll send ale," the bulk man calls out to Nasser who then settles at the head of a long table. Nasser awaits the party to take seat around it in the mismatched chairs around the dimly lit, damp room that smells of stale ale and cheap living.
"You could say that's how I got the name," Ranla smiled at Folk, showing off her impressive, sharp teeth.
She followed the man into the tavern, happy to be out of the rain. She was worried her armor would rust. Does armor rust? She hadn't had it long enough to know. As she sat down, she turned to the dwarf, and asked "Are you a practitioner of the arcane arts... my lord?"
Zeek follows Nasser quietly. Although used to a simple lifestyle, he wasn't very keen on spending the night out in the cold.
Once inside the tavern, he quickly perceives the smell of cooking flesh. With a sad look in his eyes, he notices the sheep on the spit in the middle of the room. It was beyond him why people in the holiest city of all Exandria could so callously wipe out a living creature, for such base motives as their own sustenance.
Turning to the bulky man, he asks "Some bread and mushroom pie, please. And a tankard of water, if you have a well nearby".

"We use water to wash with because it ain't fit to drink in the Quadroads. "Someone's missing," Nasser says rubbing his temples with purple gloved hands. "Which one was it again..." he adds with another sigh as if trying to remember who's missing but having some trouble remembering the exact details.

Blitz has to hold his tounge to not say something snarky back to Nasser. Once seated he'll turn to the half-orc and say "Yes. House Thunderbrand is notorious for producing strong wizards. Everyone who belongs to The House practices the Arcane Arts. We even have wizards who have helped the famed group Vox Machina." Blitz says proudly.
Zeek is unsettled by the barkeep's response. It was principally against his order to muddle the mind with substances or alcohol. It was against his fundamental beliefs to consume other creatures. Surely, the people of Vasselheim would understand? He didn't let this spoil his mood though. If need be he'd go hungry.
