Thasa drops his bow and draws his rapier moving into the room between him and the fleeing book - when he gets to 20' away he disappears in a puff of mist and reappears down the corridor on the other side of the white book (C11). He then thrusts at the, hopefully unsuspecting, book monster

Thasa hits the book cutting in the process it's retreat. There is a slight resistance as the blade connects with an invisible shield but it bursts and the blade tears a furrow on the covers. 

Smudge lashes out again at the bookcase, this time with another Ice knife, the long shard of ice forming and flying in a blink

OOC: ugh on these rolls. The bookcase has to make a Dex saving throw dc 12

15  The animated bookcase manages to evade the burst of ice but moves into Sage's attack. Wood splinters and the creature shrieks. It is not down yet but very wounded.

The bolt pierces the  booo=kcase and it shudders, falling like a log. It takes a minute to die.

The white cover book turns toward Thasa. the temperature suddenly drops and frost appears. Thasa, the wounds are the same you saw on the kobold in the hound room.

OOC: Con save DC14 Dam 6 if fail and disadvantage on next attack.

Thasa takes the cold burst, gritting his teeth and trying to minimise the amount he gets hit by twisting away from the book.
