Zanna. Before you leave the room where you fought the mimics and the tomes you notice that the books have left a few gems on the floor. They are magical and they could easily be used to switch any spell component you might have missing. The gem will be consumed but it seems to be some kind of raw magical power container. 

Also, you manage so scavenge three scrolls. You 'll have to take some time to study them but they are spells of the first circle you presume. 

To the elf "What can we call you? Were you being held prisoner here? How did you end up in this place? What can you tell use of this place?"

Sage lightly places her hand on Shaylin's shoulder and hums, "Slow down with the questions, we have a bit of time for him to answer our questions. Perhaps we should all get situated to rest first." She suggests softly, looking towards the elf.

"I will let him have time to answer but these loops are to hold someone or something and I would like to find out what?"

The elf nods his thanks to Sage. 

"I will tell you all about me soon." the Elf starts " But i'll need to know where and when we are." 

Smudge eyes the elf with distaste. “Where and when? You ask simple questions, that only leave us with more.” He spits.

”Elves. You take forever to reveal information, since you know you can outlive most questioners.”

Shaylin will chuckle at Smudge's comment about elves taking their time to answer.

The elf is a bit taken aback by your talks. He is not at all used to being talked back to. Maybe it's the fact that he is old or the fact that he once had a high social position or just that he is an elf. 

After a few seconds, he smirks at himself and shakes his head. 

"My apologies, you are of course, right. My name is Elaron Goldmoon I was a prisoner, here, of Oberon's last apprentice Ith Loctan. Oberon was my friend but with his death Ith emprisoned me and used my connection to Correlon to fuel his experiments." he shudders. Looking at the five rings around the room he continues. " I hope they were destroyed. We must flee Negarath before I am discovered."

Smudge, maybe it's the draconic side of you or the intense studying you have done but Oberon's name more than his apprentice's ring a bell. He was one of the Archwizards of the Nethereese and he even had a flying city to rule before his demise and the fall of the empire during Karsus Folly.

You shudder to think how long ago that was and you look around in dismay as you realize where you probably are.

About Negarath nothing comes to mind but you can surmise that it is the name of the city.

Thasa you are definitely sure that Negarath was one of the Nethereese flying cities.It was supposed to have been lost at the time of the Fall. From what you can remember it was a smaller city and a bastion of power for wizards.

Of all the flying cities, few were saved. Three went to the Shadow plane, one was saved by Shar and one by Selune. All of the others dropped to the ground with the death of Mystril.

“Netheril. Damn. Such power walked these halls...... but this place is more dangerous than we originally thought.”

"A Netherese city of wizardry, there could be all sorts of dangers, and all sorts of treasure, i think we will find there may be more powerful foes than caterpillars as we go on.." 

OOC: You 'll enjoy a long rest then you'll have to decide where to go next. You don't have many options. The elf was a prisoner here but he was in stasis so he doesn't recognize much of the place. What he believes is that you are in one of the towers that dotted the city a long time ago. 

“However we decide, it looks like the way out may be to go down”
