bryn nods. "thats us. and that was all him. we were going to go into the underdark thru the yawning portal, but now we're banned. and yes, we're headed thru the underdark. I'm bryn." she shows you the map. make an arcana check for each character.

shade watches you. "shade. i was with- wait how did you get the maps? i had them."

bryn looks away mysteriously. 

"did you steal them?"

"I'm not a rogue! or a criminal. i like to do as the law bids, thank you." she glanced at her pointedly. "I simply needed the maps."

"you stole them."

"I may find certain people and races... less trustworthy. i didn't want you to lose them."

"Bryn! typical triton!"

"whats that supposed to me?"

"you're so selfish! get over yourself!" shade turns guiltily to the new people. "uh... anyways, nice to have you. this is a brat of an idiot triton paladin. i would advise you to stay away from her or she'll melt your brain."

bryn punches shade(13). it hits her armor but doesnt do any damage. shade slaps bryn(three fistfights and we arent in the underdark yet. somebody make a contract to stop future fights!) , 17 to hit, she also doesnt hurt her. bryn is angry and punches again, misses again(wow), and shade pulls out her dagger.(do we want to roll initive or break it up?)

Bryn attacks with her greatsword: roll, nat 1, bryn trips and cuts herself, dealing 16 damage(i have got to be the worst dm in history. why am I causing or allowing this? for the fourth time? this will be over before it even starts!)

do either of you know if werewolves can speak common in wolf form? i think I'm going to make a werewolf character(homebrewing it rn) and ill probably play her.
