“Safe and easy”Victorin snorts “Can’t believe you all tracked down many artifacts with that philosophy. Still, far be it for me to rock the boat, or in case the Dunewrecker. Don’t much care what we take, just as long as we get started.”
"To be fair, I never cared much for philosophy anyway." Kai replies, hoisting himself out of the Sandstorm. He pats the hood as he walks toward the much sturdier vehicle. "Strap in, everybody."
(OOC: When you mentioned that the Dunewrecker was a walker-type vehicle, were you picturing something more like these?)
Or more like this, or something entirely different?
Kai looks through the vehicle, checking all its systems. His smile grows bigger, and as the rest of the group assembles in the walker's main cabin you can see a huge grin across his face.
"Series 3 Dunewalker. One top-mounted heavy ballista, two light ballista on the sides. All-terrain. Able to lock down during sandstorms or at night. Interior cabin is air-conditioned for protection against hot climates."
He gives an amused whistle. "She's amazing, this one. Let's move out."

The garage rattles open and the Dunewrecker (would you like to give this particular Dunewrecker a name or special paint job? Just as a descriptor?) stomps it's way towards the Thousand Bone sands. The first mile is crossed in fifteen minutes, full throttle, but once you hit the bone-white, calcium-rich, sands that give the desert it's name, you know the going will not get any easier. You hear the wind howling outside every once in a while, kicking up small amounts of sand that whack against the windshield. The barren landscape seems to stretch forever in every direction. Make a Nature check please, anyone who will direct Kai.

Kai braces, shaking off the impact. Setting the controls down, he grabs his jetpack and calls to the others as he opens the top hatch: "We've got a bogey on the left side. Ballistas are up top, get up there. I'll run air support. Move it!"

Sleeping with his hood pulled low over his head in one of the jump seats in the Dunewrecker, Victorin is shaken awake by the jarring bump against the outside of the vehicle. Seeing Kai leap into action, he looks around to see what is causing the ruckus. “Wait, if you are leaving, who is driving?”
He exits the hatch behind Kai and jumps up to the top of the vehicle, not making a move to man the ballistas, but to get a better view of the threat.
((Initiative 8, familiar Help action to give whoever attacks next advantage on one attack.))
He was grateful they'd decided to pick the heavier vehicle, though on second thought perhaps they might have avoided this on the smaller one. Mentally ordering his owl familiar to take off to harass the creature, Agar waited a moment for an opportunity to blast it with a spell.
Quinn seems to pause for a second, taking a deep breath with his eyes closed. After a moment, he opens his eyes which are now a dark shade of gold. He jumps up and out of the hatch in a single, fluid jump and lands on the top of the vehicle. He wobbles a little as he gets his balance, but quickly rights himself. At some point during the stunt, Quinn's sword appeared in his hand, and its edge now glows with the same gold as his eyes.

Quinn jumps towards the front of the dunewrecker, slashing out at the beast. At the point of impact, the blade glows brighter, and you can feel the heat it emmits.

Kai rockets upward and out of the vehicle, settling at an altitude of 40 feet above the dunewrecker. His jetpack whirrs to life and he folds his visor down, glaring at the creature.
"Talon-One is airborne, weapons hot. Have tally on ground-level bandit. Engaging."
The bird lowers his shoulder-cannon to face the rattler, the muzzle glowing purple as it expels three blasts of purple energy! "Star-three. Firing weapon."

I don’t know if this will work so I’ll do this twice two different ways and hope for the best
Ok how do you get images up because I’ve tried it five times on this site and I still can’t figure it out.
Farewell.
I think you did it right, it's just that particular image that does that. Dunewalker looks like this:
Ready to move on if everyone else is.

"Damn the speed, you had me at 'air-conditioned'," Heli climbs in and moves some things around, getting a feel for the interior.

Farewell.
The ground ahead of you shifts and flows in a strange way, and suddenly a large snake-like creature with bone-white scales erupts out of the sand and;
