"No sorry, but we do have a few days to travel. We can take a closer look at them as we travel if we need to." Keir steps up to the table to take a closer look at the items, though he is very careful not to touch them. They could be anything. At least a dagger could have a use, even if its special abilities were unknown. Perception:16Arcana:8
Draanel has been sitting quietly watching the negotiation progress and Robin investigating the shimmery wall. As the magical items spill onto the table though, her interest piques, "So, we test them out and see what they do? Seems like a dangerous proposition considering our lives could be on the line when we use them. If we get to keep them afterwards, it might be worth the risk. I agree we should travel by land, the sooner we get there, the better."
"Oh, I can identify those when I am done here." Robin says as she nods to the items. She then turns back to the wall. If nothing is obvious as the source of the magic she will start to cast identify on the place that is detecting as magical.

There doesn't seem to be anything special about these items on face value.

You cast identify on the spot in the wall. You identify it as a trap, rigged to explode with Necrotic energy, activated on the other end of a telepathic link.

Being someone who has traveled the world, Rakim takes a closer look at the items as well. However, unlike his allies, he has no qualms about touching them, and he will pick up each item as he examines it and starting with the orb. He isn't quite paying attention to what Robin is doing, and unless she mentions something to him, he is oblivious about the wall.

You also can't find much special about these items on a first glance. You pick each one up and are surprised by the weight of the ring, but otherwise nothing stands out.
"Clear out." Robin snaps to the group. She pushes anyone in the place out of the chamber as quickly as she can do so. "This place is rigged to blow." She moves everyone out of the chamber as quickly as she can manage to do so. She would make sure that the items dumped onto the desk are brought with, grabbing any remaining as she moves towards the exit.
Rakim sweeps up the orb and the locket as he makes his way quickly out of the building. He doesn't play games with his own life, and if there was even a small chance that Robin was right, Rakim wasn't taking any risks. Once he is a safe distance away, he turns to Robin, "We trusted you enough to leave. Can you offer us any evidence of your claim, or give us proof that the place was rigged?"

Confused by Robin's sudden urge to leave, but never one to risk unnecessary danger. Keir moves out quickly. He didn't see any threat, but then again, this was not his usual environment. Let him lose in nature and almost nothing would take him by surprise. You couldn't trust solid walls, they bound you in too tight. He did, however, notice that a few of the others had grabbed the items, which was good.
Once outside, he to turned to Robin.

Rakim was right, this was hardly the way to build trust with a new employer. Sure there had been something unusual about the room - that back wall was clearly false - but that didn't automatically translate into a trap."What did you see, Robin?"
"Someone was spying on the room." Robin says once they are outside. They set up a trap that would explode with necrotic energy. I cannot say what would set it off, but it was definitely some sort of trap."
Rakim narrowed his eyes. He wasn't always the best judge of character, given his own, but he somehow trusted what the woman said. The satyr gives a nod and turns to the others, "Do we want to try and see how the trap was rigged? It seems strange that our employer would put a trap in the room he was hiring us in."

Draanel hustles herself out of the room, dropping her hand to her dagger amidst the momentary confusion. Listening to the others, she chimes in supporting Robin, "She's not lying that there was something going on with that wall, shimmered like a glamour across it. Rudest hunter knows how to set a snare but the more elegant the trap, the more skillful the trapper. If we know something of the trap we know something about who set it, and at this point no-one is above suspicion..." The goblin markedly meets the eyes of everyone that exited the room as she edges herself away from the mass before finishing, "Many reasons someone might set a trap they plan on being caught in, less likely than the obvious reasons mind."
(Move everyone out was what Robin was attempting to do. If you chose not to do so, then that is up to you. I just said what Robin would be attempting to do, it is up to the other players to decide how their characters react to what she does. I can only speak for Robin, it is up to all of you to speak for yourself. A very valid response for Robin's moving everyone out of the chamber would be to shake your head and say I am staying put... That is role playing your character.)
I apologize in advance, but I am moving into my dorm for freshman year this week, and class starts next week. While I get settled in a new city, a new roommate, and a new schedule. I will be taking a week or so of hiatus from DnD. I might pop on periodically to read up on a thread or to make a quick post, but for the games, I am running, I won't be moving forward, and for the other games, I ask that you please bot my character through combat, or assume that they are silently observing (or whatever that character would naturally do). I apologize again for any delays that this game might have had because of me in the last few weeks (my summer schedule was very hectic) but hopefully, in the words of the great Terminator "I'll be back..."

(She was not being subtle about it, so does not care who knows she is casting the ritual.)
"And what is that?" Robin asks, moving to the wall and pointing at whatever is detecting as magical there.

Ooc : "she moves everyone outside the chamber" is maybe a little too much, without their consent?! Anyway, since we went on...
In game
Albert looks at vadamar and the halflings while Robin tries to get everyone out.
He rotates the index towards the employer and smiles with his yellow eyes as to say
"later we will explain"
